Not sure condensing the defense on one side of the field makes it easier for Rickie.I would roll Rickie out
Limit his reads to
2 options and tell him.
One two run or throw OB

Hes not a kid though, he is 20, people are off fighting wars at his age. Its a hyperbolic statement but i think its important to remind people that whole "they're only kids" arguments goes out the door when they make more money than nuclear engineers.
I, uh... he already does that on his own.Not sure condensing the defense on one side of the field makes it easier for Rickie.
Don’t recommend rewatching the film. I did. And it only gets worse. It’s infuriating.I, uh... he already does that on his own.
I haven't actually watched film but I'm fairly confident every pass, or at least the heavy majority, of balls he's thrown down field have been to the left side of the field. A few down the middle, nothing or little to nothing to the right.
In watching him in practice it's apparent that he struggles with his reads. So regardless of roll or pocket I'd limit him to two reads followed by him running or throwing it away. Speed the game up for him by limiting his decision process. Not sure condensing the defense on one side of the field makes it easier for Rickie.
Thankfully I am pretty good at avoiding self-flagellation exercises like that.Don’t recommend rewatching the film. I did. And it only gets worse. It’s infuriating.
Problem is he can’t get beyond the first readIn watching him in practice it's apparent that he struggles with his reads. So regardless of roll or pocket I'd limit him to two reads followed by him running or throwing it away. Speed the game up for him by limiting his decision process.
Simplify it and let him play looseProblem is he can’t get beyond the first read
Oh I agree 100% but you still need to be able to do some basic things like look off DBs hit second reads etcSimplify it and let him play loose

But were they down field?Off the top of my head, in the Pitt game the TD pass and Yasin drop were both to the right. But to your point I can't remember any others.
Anyway, easy solution. We'll just make him throw with his left hand half the time.
That stat they flashed up about him having the worst interception percentage really hurt.I just don't know how you start him when he is currently the Whoopsy Daisy King...
I am in the same boat, my friend. He seems like a great kid and I wish I saw something, anything that gave me hope(in non garbage time) but it is just not there. That stat they flashed up about him having the worst interception percentage really hurt.
I want to believe in our guys. But sometimes your eyes tell you it's bad, and when the stats reinforce that... it is just bad.
Threw a nice catchable ball to Gill I believe on the left sideline.Off the top of my head, in the Pitt game the TD pass and Yasin drop were both to the right. But to your point I can't remember any others.

How is Rickie looking away from the defense while running a bootleg going to make it easier for him to make a read?Simplify it and let him play loose
Coach Campanile coached for SU when Garrett Shrader was QB and the team used the RPO extensively, and when Shrader was healthy, rather successfully. Is it too much of an adjustment to incorporate that scheme with Rickie? Like Shrader, Rickie is a good runner, and under the right circumstances throws the ball well.Maybe the most delusional thing I’ll ever write on this message board. I feel a Rickie Collins breakout game incoming.
Look, nobody would be upset if Collins suddenly has an inexplicable 350 yard 3 TD game.Maybe the most delusional thing I’ll ever write on this message board. I feel a Rickie Collins breakout game incoming.
So money makes people open game? Interesting standards.i stopped my crying when the players starting cashing the checks. fair game i say.
Yeah it’s like I’m watching the film and thinking back to the games in real time. I get so frustrated because it’s not like he isn’t capable of making good plays, good throws, and good runs. Nearly all of his mistakes is not processing where the defenders are on the field and it comes at critical moments too, like stage fright. Nixon just needs to scheme 1 on 1 matchups on both sidelines, let Rickie make the read and lets his receivers make plays.Look, nobody would be upset if Collins suddenly has an inexplicable 350 yard 3 TD game.

if i go to the neighbors BBQ and get a lousy cheeseburger i keep my mouth shut ,smile and eat it.So money makes people open game? Interesting standards.
His biggest plays have been middle to the rightI, uh... he already does that on his own.
