Fox is almost singularly responsible for the rise of club soccer in the USA. While we had to put up with hacks like Max Bretos, Christopher Sullivan and Christian Miles for many years, the channel was a true gem. (14.99 a month for Fox Soccer Plus not so much.)

So who will show Champions and Europa League now?

The Champions League and Europa League games will be on Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 2 which if you have DirecTV is channel 219. I don't the channel for other providers but Fox Soccer content will move to FS1 and FS2.

And with DTV, you also have access to the UEFA specific channels in the 480-490 range. FS2 is channel 618.

Warren Barton and Eric Wynalda were great together, and with Chris Stone, they finally found an anchor to the studio show. Such a shame.

At least on NBC SN, they had the good sense to hire British announcers (even the chick host knows the game!).
