Roster impact from coaching change

If you believe the depth chart, the only people with no eligibility left are: (and I have no idea if extra Covid year plays into any of these)

Shrader
Adams
Bleich
More
Okechukwu
Johnson
Simmons
I forgot about Adams. Did he get injured? Thought he would play this year.

Are guys that have already transferred eligible when there is a coaching change?
No. Any player who has transferred more than once has to sit a year if he transfers again. Unless he is a Grad Transfer.

I believe when the NCAA put the portal in place that eliminated the rule about players being able to transfer and play immediately if a coach was fired. It was redundant.

Got to think Caleb has a shot as well. Redshirt in 2018. Illness in 2019 that kept him out of school. Covid in 2020, then played three.
85 possible scholarships, you're saying maybe More has a shot to return so it's really 6 guys

At this point of time, my biggest concern is Allen. Take it FWIW.
I'd hope that all of these kids would wait to see what changes transpire before hand, but I am a realist to the world and know that just won't happen.

It'd suck to lose him, but I am expecting some surprises to add their name in the portal.

Someone threw out twenty as a number and honestly, that's probably a fair number.

Nobody in our team is irreplaceable. Allen, Wax, Villari...nobody.

OG would be but I think he's gone either way.

I kinda wish we used him more like we did in the bowl game last year.

I half expected him to be the leading receiver outside Gadsden this year the way Beck called the bowl game.

Completely agree. I expected the same thing. The way he was used in the bowl game, we rarely saw any of that this year. It made no sense.

I don't know man, Wax, Allen, and Villari would be extremely difficult to replace. High quality ACC players.

If the hire is Tony White, there’s going to be a lot of guys staying. Anyone else and I expect massive exits

I hear you but in my opinion RBs are easy to replace (or should be) and Villari was great but I think that was because it had been since John Mackey when we last threw to our TE (kidding,).

The portal is one thing the portal with a coaching change is going to be rather tough to watch but it’s part of changing coaches. We will lose quite a few kids and some will hurt but just the way it goes. Just go hire the best coach and they can start over from day 1 and start building a new roster. There are some kids I would love to keep but not going to worry much about it with a new head coach

I want Allen to get drafted as an Orangeman. Kid is an excellent player, pay him
Surprisingly Wax is by far the highest paid in NIL this season. I’d imagine Allen will get more next year, pretty sure he’s in the top 4 right now if memory serves.

There are few players on this team I would lose sleep over transferring out of the program.

The guys I would NOT want to lose and do everything to keep are: Allen, OG, Villari, Reed, Wax, McDonald, Barron, Clark, Wohlabaugh, Lockett, Jaquez, Jobity, Bellamy, Gould, Farmer, Lowery

Some of the younger guys that I would not want to lose and attempt to keep are: Joe Cruz, Enrique Cruz, Mack, Bailey, Perry, Ty Gordon, Ike Daniels, Gill, Jalil Smith

Recruits I would do everything to keep: Tremble (TE), Haile (WR), Mcmorris (DL), Williams (QB), Hart (RB), Brown (LB), Goodcare (OL), the Dye twins. I think these guys are guys you gotta try and keep and would have the highest chance to make an impact here of the recruits we have committed right now.

Everyone else, wouldn’t be a huge loss in my opinion. I think these guys would be a good core to build a team around. This isn’t a total rebuild at all. Dino didn’t leave the cupboard empty, we have some talent to work with. These are the guys I think would be best to start off with on the current team, then bring in some transfers and you have a decent amount of talent on this team. If you bring in some decent transfers with this core group of guys and a good coaching staff. No reason you can’t win 8-9 with the schedule we have next year.
