Can't wait to get it on this Saturday in front of 50,000+

Will be interesting to see how we stack up head to head. I'm sure your team will be fired up to play a top 25 team and we will get your best shot. I expect a dog fight out there...

I think our defense forces Nassib into a few turnovers and our receivers have a big day.

My early prediction RU 24-17.

It will be interesting to see if rutgirls can tie up the series vs. Marrone who is 2-1.

Turnovers, as always, are key

We had a meltdown last year and blew it

My guess is a 20-16 game

Isn't the series 0-0 since we have a new coach? You reset the series record Schiano vs Grob when Marrone took over. Now it works both ways.

Flood is 0-0 against Marrone and Marrone is 0-0 vs Flood.

Someone will be 1-0 come Saturday...

Oh but he'll remind you that SU is 0-0 against the current staff ... can a team really be top 25 by default? Seems that way this year ... just play nobodies and don't lose and wait till everyone else chokes against better foes ... and of course pray no one in the media watches your games (which in the case of RU is true) so they don't vote based on the product on the field instead of just glancing at a box score.

Turnovers and specials will probably decide it(we blew the game two years back by shanking the short FG to ice the game). Our kicker got hurt against UConn and left the game so I hope he is back...

That... is obnoxiously clever.

I'll be really surprised if the winning team wins by more than 7. I just have no idea who will win.

I'm not terribly concerned, we've already shown against Stony Brook that when we play a 1-AA team we can struggle mightily but still come out ahead.

Here's Rutgers record against SU when the the coach is anybody not named Greg Robinson, 7-30-1.

' off.

Why would Flood inherit a record before he was the coach? According to everyone here Marrone sure didn't. He is 2-1 vs RU, right? So by the way you all do it isn't Flood 0-0 vs SU?

Can't have it both ways...

Hello from the first page of a hopefully legendary stupid thread about coaches' win-loss records.

' off.

Stay classy.

We have awinning record over SU for the last decade and McNabb isn't coming back. Why not take out Terry Shea's years as well since we can pick and choose...

Who cares. Get bent.

How is your injury situation? We lost our starting FB and DL over the last two weeks and our kicker left the game against Uconn so not sure of his status.

We don't have any injuries of any starters. Apparently, ShamWow is feeling great after that collision.

I know. Obnoxiously clever was a backhanded compliment.

Our injury situation- we may be without our Strong Safety, #Shamarko, after he threw himself head first into a Pitt TE on Friday night. His bell looked quite rung after he finally got up, so we might be dealing with a head injury. We're not sure.

Otherwise, we're pretty healthy at the moment.

The key versus Rutgers is what myself and others have been pointing out for years since Schiano took over.

1. Dont turn the ball over, if you do it can't be more then once.
2. Dont give Rutgers offense a short field via special teams plays or turnovers, eventually even a bad O like Rutgers will score if they keep starting in the opponents territory.
3. Make the QB beat you. Regardless of how good Coleman and Pratt might be you still have to stack the box and force Nova to beat you plain and simple.
4. Mis direction - Rutgers D is very agressive but is highly susceptible to mis direction and trick plays, its one of the reasons WVU hasnt lost to Rutgers in nearly two decades.
5. Turnovers, again its all about turnovers.

Last decade? You love to cherry pick.

We dominate you over history, but that doesn't count because it isn't current. We are 2-1 the last 3 but that doesn't count because you have a new coach. But now you point to the last decade where we have had 3 different coaches.

You're a piece of work.

Tulane 0-5
Howard... no comment
S. Florida (2-5)
Ark (2-4)
UConn (3-3) 89th passing yards, 116th rushing yards, 112th points for (basically, a team with no offense)

No top 50 wins or even a win over a team with a winning record... meh

Orange, it's time to expose this fraud to the pollsters.

Surprised. I saw that play and was afraid he was paralyzed for a few seconds.

If he had a head injury I would be shocked if they let him play although I'm happy it wasn't serious then.

Yet how are they ranked? That's just what boggles my mind.

I didn't bring up games from the last three decades, your poster did.

You cherry pick the last three years and forget about the last 10. Didn't Marrone start out 0-0 against RU in your eyes three years ago because nothing counted prior to him taking over? All I said is Flood is 0-0 against Marrone and one of our coaches will be 1-0 against the other come Saturday.

Paper Tiger top 25 team.

Here is my early prediction: RU won't finish the year in the Top 25, won't go undefeated, won't win the Big East, and won't be invited to the ACC/B1g/SEC.

Agree you need to stack the box against Jamison because we will always lean heavy on the run even when not working. Flood will continue to try. It might be a problem for your undersized linebackers and secondary against our large receivers though. I feel there are big plays to be had in the passing game here.

Our D can be overly aggressive at times and that leaves us open to mis direction plays for sure. It also creates pressure which often leads to turnovers so it can be good and bad there...
