Saturday attendance

Coming up from Hudson Valley/tr-state area with some ucon fans no less, first Dome game in 8 years I think.

The U-Conn fans better be paying for gas... or maybe they would be more adept at siphoning it.

Whole conference has been siphoning off cash UConn has earned for years.

I'll be there with a group of 3 UConn fans and three SU fans. Should be fun. Always great to see Joyce.

I can't make it because tomorrow is my daughter's first Level 7 gymnastics meet. Does anyone have a daughter in gymnastics? I hope to watch the game before we leave.

Making the long trip from Dewitt. I hope traffic isn't bad tomorrow. Wednesday I got caught in traffic and it took me 8 freaking minutes to get to the game.

Ha...I hear ya. It usually takes me about 12-13 to get to my parking lot from my house. If it takes me 15 I turn into Hannibal Lecter.

That is great to see a UConn fan travelling to the Dome. Any ideas why some few UConn fans ever make it up a game in Syracuse? Are Syracuse fans the only ones that travel in large numbers to Hartford for basketball?

I pity you having a daughter in gymnastics, because she'll grow up to be a teen in gymnastics and teen boys love gymnast. First they are generally really pretty and second there are not many chubba wubbas trying to vault or do the balance beam.

This is my third trip. Maybe because Syracuse isn't exactly cosmopolitan (similar to Hfd)? And SU fans do not travel in large numbers to Hartford. You may think that, but they don't.

Well, luckily at this point she is only seven years old. I am hoping that by the time that she is teenager, she will have enough time invested that she won't be worrying too much about boys.

About a one-hour drive for me from near exit 32.

Not sure I'll be able to handle another nail biter!

Leave the UConn fans behind at one the 81 Rest Stops. You can pick them up on the way back home (but only if SU wins).
HAHA, FWIW, they're not riding with me.

I can't make the long trip to the Dome from Dewitt because...wait for it... i have to attend baby classes with the wife for our first child which should be here right around march madness time. ugh

Be sure to grab their tickets first.

It was awesome. Everything a Dome crowd should be. I couldn't hear half the whistles down the stretch, and the stands were shaking after Joseph's three.
ESPN's coverage just didn't bring that noise across. They've done similar dialing-down of the crowd noise for football games. :(

From what I understand visitors tickets are released the day before the game.

Just curious what section they are located in and what time of day this happens?

Someone told me 10 AM.

I did not see a single solitary Georgetown fan at the game.

I scanned around the Dome several times and didn't see any pockets of Hoyas.

Could it have been this welcome we gave them in 2009 or just because it was a Wednesday?

That's long enough to make me turn around and go home.

May your child bring the same success as my March baby in 2003! She is a huge SU fan. Her teachers always know when SU is playing and their opponent because she tells them - repeatedly and she always wears her lucky SU socks on gamedays.

There were Gtown fans there. They had the usual visitors section right behind their bench.

Make that "More than 32,000 expected"... both according to Axe (who was citing the SU Athletics Dept) and the linked article.

Crazy!

remember, they were all wrong on gtown. claimed 30k and we didn't hit 28. we've sold about 31k right now so maybe we hit 32k.

There were two sitting a couple rows in front of me - I noticed one of them clap very early on in the game and then barely noticed them the rest of the game...there were probably wise to keep a low profile...
