Sean Tucker: Buccaneers

We really thought we had something there and, for a while, maybe we did. I was sure Walter Reyes would make it big in the NFL and I was sure Sean Tucker would. It's a tough league.
Both were injured - no?

If he doesn't make the squad, then CFL & UFL could always be options to keep him in shape and show teams that he's a capable replacement for an injured player.

It might also pay for rent, meals, etc... while he keeps the NFL in his vision.

Didn't have that same burst he broke out of the scene with

The fact he was tracked down by Verse (granted, a future first rounder), was a sign that his league potential would be limited.

NFL is a speeeeeed league at skill positions

The huge field in the cfl would not be a good fit for a guy who gasses out.

He saw game action he should get a second season in the mix and on their practice squad. Unless he has a bad camp but he didn’t last year.

Tucker had that hand-timed 4.29 forty but that seems a long time ago.

It’s been a while, but reading some recent posts, it’s clear that I have to remind people of:

BOARD RULE #2

- Leave the talent evaluating to the talent evaluators.

Tucker matched, maybe even exceeded, his talent ceiling. I applaud him for being a NFL player for a year. A depth chart RB who offers nothing on Specials, rarely sticks.

Good for him.

He has a memory of a lifetime!!

Tucker is in year two of his three year rookie contract. Not sure anyone would say he has a ceiling at this point. He has improved his hands and blocking. I would expect him to make the team and improve, he has blinding speed. Wish the Bills would pick him up, good blend of speed, balance and one cut ability which the NFL loves.

Rarely does going to the CFL or UFL lead to a path back to the NFL and even more rare for a RB.

Playing ST’s would have helped immensely. There is so little difference once you get to the back end of the roster and you’re always taking the 2nd or 3rd RB who can also play ST’s.

Is Tucker playing tonight?
saw him on punt return as a blocker. he might be in trouble for making the team. He's listed with 2 other backs as 4th on RB depth chart. There's their 2 main backs as 1 and 2 and then a rookie from Oregon as 3. Ronde Barber just said to expect to see a lot of Tucker tonight. He's got to have a big preseason and only 3 games now to do it. The rookie from Oregon looks good so far. He started the game.
