Class of 2020 Seth Towns

Well, to be honest, we really didn’t replace what we lost last year. We have 14 losses, about to be 15, and we’re on the NIT bubble. I guarantee you that if we don’t find a suitable replacement for Hughes, next year will look a lot like this year. And, truthfully, don’t count on the incoming freshmen to make a big difference.
you, too , need to check your math

My question to Wildhack is how many years of double figure losses are going to be acceptable? It’s almost becoming the norm and administration seems to be ok with it. Even the fans seem to be accepting. Until we step up and demand some accountability, it’s probably going to continue. Even with a couple of grad transfers, next year is no guarantee of making the tournament. We can’t count on another dreadful year in the conference to just be mediocre.

Keep hanging your hat on 2013-14 as being more predictive than the last five six seasons.
i was referring to your lousy logic, not any other edition of the orange
here, i'll lay it out for you since you can't find it on your own

if "next year looks a lot like this year", then ipso facto, a suitable replacement would have been found

all that being said, i'm not opposed to towns at all (as if my opposition matters one whit).
but i don't think he moves the needle.
whether he is here or not, marek takes over hughes de facto point forward position, guerrier becomes the big forward. towns would be in competition for the 3rd forward in the rotation. i hope he can handle a non-starting rotational role better then geno thorpe did.

Oh, sure.
Like we woulda been sooooo much better off without Uncle Drew & John Gillon that year.
When we had NOBODY ELSE.
you'll need a better argument to sway me than referencing my least favorite orange team ever

ETA: I'm done here. You can take your nonsense to the main board. I'm sure Townie has room in his van for delusional folks.

All good topics...

for the main board. Not here. Take it there, and leave this thread for Seth Towns ONLY. Thanks.

Let's keep it on track now, OK?

Otherwise, violators will only be able to read from now on. Thanks.
A one hour time out. Awesome. So Towns won't be able to participate in the now cancelled Ivy League tourney. Hopefully that has no impact on picking a program that also didn't make the NCAA's. I would hate to think that.

I'm in.

My 2 cents: I think we will be absolutely fine without Towns

The roster is full without him. Would love to see Richmond come in and play beyond his years, which he might actually be capable of. I also like what we have in Baby Face Braswell. If his shins heal up we could have a player there as well. I am really high on both these kids

I think a healthy Braswell will be a big time player for us. In addition to the shins, 20 pounds of muscle would not hurt. actually I can say that about most of our guys.

I think Towns if healthy is a great get. I would take or Landers right now no question asked. Give me Tape and a backup pg and let’s roll.

Pitino would take Braswell in a heartbeat. He raved about him when he visited the campus a year and a half ago.

I’m a Bobby Braswell fan but I’d like a season of him getting 10-15 minutes before he’s the starting 3. I think he has a ton of potential and could be a very good 5th year senior when we’re loading up for the Dior year. I hope he sticks around.

Has Towns visited any schools?

Does that even matter for transfers?

I mean, Goodine is going to Providence about :30 seconds after he hit the Portal out from Syracuse.

I’d say this bodes poorly for us.

He’d probably want to know 100% officially that Eli is gone (spoiler - he gone.) before committing here.

If the Twerps get Towns AND Tapé Ima lose my shtt .

I think it matters for grad transfers. Goodine was previously recruited by Providence.
