Yeah at this point just lock the thread. He’s going to UConn and no good can come from this being left open lol

I don’t see Buddy playing the 3. If Hughes leaves—and I don’t think he will—Guerrier will move to the 3 and Marek, Braswell and hopefully I Jackson can play the 4. Big loss if we don’t get Andre though. He’d make us so much better.
Q will be my guess for our next one and done...

I was at practice with a mid-major college basketball team today, small talking with a manager that loves recruiting and works summer camps with high school kids. He knows the landscape well, knows about Syracuse recruiting (is a big fan of Jon Bol Ajak, JG III, etc.). We were talking about Isaiah Jackson’s recruitment, and he mentioned that he thought IJ would go great with AJ at Syracuse... haha he thought Andre Jackson had already committed to the Orange, knowing his history and connection to the team. Just thought it was interesting that a guy who’s in the recruiting world was floored that Andre wasn’t ‘cuse all the way

Caught everyone by surprise.

Is it 100% that Dre is UCONN bound. It still is baffling to me. No way he picks UCONN.

This is the second recruit in a year that has picked UCONN over Cuse. This is unacceptable.

I miss being a destination of 4 star recruits in the mid-atlantic to northeast regions. Now, we are a fallback to 3 star recruits. This is becoming a joke.

We haven't had a real NBA first round pick in 5 years (thinking MCW. Lydon wasn't a true 1st round pick). We also don't have any NBA first round picks for the 2020 draft. That is unacceptable.

Our recruiting is just bad at this point and is going in the wrong direction. Even if we get IJ, we are still a mediocre team in the ACC. We should be top 4/5 every year behind UNC, Duke, UVA, Louisville.

So - Mali, Lydon, and CMac all don't "count" as 1st round draft picks?

I sure hope nobody tells that to their bank accounts.
They got PAID like 1st round picks.

Mali became a 1st rounder after that crazy tourney run.

Chris McCullough played probably 10 games pre season and was drafted in the 1st round just based on potential.

I am talking about pre-season national consensus 1st round pick. Better yet - 1st round lottery pick. When is the last time we had a national consensus lottery pick on our team?

i am quite disappointed in losing both akok and aj, regardless of who we lost them to.

but for perspective, according to 2-4-7, su has had 11 four stars in the last 5 recruiting classes. that doesn't count bazley. nor the current class which will include at least one more. nor does it include guys they rate as 3 stars who really more talented than many of their 4 stars

WHat?? if you are basing whatever argument you are trying to make on expectations rather than results CMac is the wrong guy to argue. Wasn’t he expected to be the most talented recruit we had landed in the last 25 years not named Melo? He was a 5 star on ESPN.

Get a grip and step away.
Carey, who was as highly touted as AJ, chose SU over UCONN.
I also see Goodine and Guerrier were both 4 star recruits.
Why aren't Lydon or Malachi true 1st round picks?
Would you like the link to the Kentucky or Duke board?

So are you happy with our recruiting results in the past 5 years?
