Class of 2020 SF Andre Jackson (NY) Offered

Not enamored with recruiting lately but you act like you are entitled to SU having top recruiting classes. Mookie Jones was a high 4 star how did he turn out? Wasn't Dejuan Coleman a 5 star McDonalds AA and look how he turned out? I could go on and on. Matt Moyer was a 4 star...

This is the second recruit in a year that has picked UCONN over Cuse. This is unacceptable.

I miss being a destination of 4 star recruits in the mid-atlantic to northeast regions. Now, we are a fallback to 3 star recruits. This is becoming a joke.

We haven't had a real NBA first round pick in 5 years (thinking MCW. Lydon wasn't a true 1st round pick). We also don't have any NBA first round picks for the 2020 draft. That is unacceptable.

Our recruiting is just bad at this point and is going in the wrong direction. Even if we get IJ, we are still a mediocre team in the ACC. We should be top 4/5 every year behind UNC, Duke, UVA, Louisville.

If a guy gets picked in the 1st round... he's a 1st round pick.

I remember having top 10 recruiting classes most years until about 2013 where things started to go down hill and everyone blamed (rightfully) scholly sanctions. But we have been off those sanctions for a couple of years now.

(obligatory andre jackson reference - he has great hops will excite the otherwise moribund gampel pavilion)

2-4-7's records go back to 2002 for syracuse. i don't trust their data but that is what we've got and you are the one concerned with ratings not me.

in their records, syracuse had a top 10 class exactly 4 times in 10 years prior to 2013. the orange have had 2 top 10 classes from 2013 going forward.

i'm going to do you a solid and delete the weird (and wrong) ranking of 265 they gave to triche, southerland, mookie and dash riley.

in the ten years before 2013, the average class ranking was 30.6 (median 20)
in the years from 2013 onward, the average class ranking was 26.4 (median 32)



so, your memory is clouded and your perceptions are incorrect.

also, this year's freshman class is the first one since sanctions have been lifted. it is a very strong class. akok or stewart would have been a cherry on top, but this class stands on its own

Just unfollowed Jackson on twitter. Actually felt good doing it. Sad I know but just being honest. Anyone else have that type of reaction unfollowing a teenager that didn’t commit to Cuse? Felt almost as good as unfollowing Jordan Tucker.

This does not make sense about playing time. Turns out Brycen Goodine turns 20 today, doubt that he stays more than 2 years. Carey will probably be gone after next year (2020-2021). Looks like it is possible that Quincy G will probably be a 2 and done (if he is as good as expected). If Andre wants to have instant playing time, then UCONN has the immediate need. He will probably be an one and done (not properly prepared for NBA) if he goes to UCONN.

Chris McCullough played probably 10 games pre season and was drafted in the 1st round just based on potential.

I am talking about pre-season national consensus 1st round pick. Better yet - 1st round lottery pick. When is the last time we had a national consensus lottery pick on our team?

We had 6 straight years with a 1st round pick
