Should there be concern?
Should there be concern?
He must want to keep them open for a reasonNo concern at all. Literally zero concern. Dad wants Westry to keep options open.
He’s a good dad.He must want to keep them open for a reason
If they are keeping their options open, it isn't 100%. I know, I know, what the kid has told the staff. Until he lets everyone else in on his secret, it just isn't 100%. No matter how hard we stamp our feet and say it is. With that said, I wouldn't be a bit afraid to go in another direction if something really good came our way and we could get a commit from them. He’s a good dad.

We all remember what Quade told GMac.If they are keeping their options open, it isn't 100%. I know, I know, what the kid has told the staff. At the very least, we can say that the dad isn't completely sold on Syracuse. At this point, he must be looking for something else. Otherwise, he would be fine with him son giving his verbal to a great school with a Hall of fame coach. We all remember what Quade told GMac.
and you’re right dasher - I honestly think we have a lot more leverage with these kids then we have in the past. Everyone sees our offers; if a another top 50 kid pulls the trigger before Chance, it is what it is.Gone are the days of putting all our eggs in 1 basket
I'm not sure how those two comments make sense together. Zero concern but his Dad wants him to keep his options open? And when you bring Kentucky into the mix anything can happen. As a better man than I once said, those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.No concern at all. Literally zero concern. Dad wants Westry to keep options open.
Now the game is on
Hopefully Pay Pal circling doesn't mean blood in the water. I really like Chance to pair with Dior. The nice thing about the '22 cycle is that Pay Pal won't be able to pitch a PG as good as Dior.
Just hope we don't get the next Josh Wright.Wish there was a way to get Cruz, too. He might be the best of the bunch. But I will take Dior and Westry, thank you very much.
I thought we were fishing in the small pond now (with big fish)...This would be the reasoning behind daddy having the kid be patient. Lots of time here for things to change or stay the same. Hopefully the kid is solid on wanting cuse but regardless we are fishing in the big pond now and look to have plenty of really good options.

We’re recruiting Bird? There's a reason someone's a silent verbal. He's (or someone influential in his circle) not 100%. I maintain we should take 1st come, 1st serve of any of the top guys. We've been burned waiting around for guys multiple times in the past. Bird in the hand.
I don't have a problem with him doing that at all. My problem is if we just think well we have him and don't keep recruiting. If another guy wants to commit and he is good, I take him and wish Chance well.Or he wants his son to enjoy the recruitment process. You only get one of these. Once things are 50%+ open in the Fall, kids are going to be flown out to visit schools and be treated to all of the perks that come with it. Why rush a decision now especially if you have an idea of where you're going?
