Upperclassmen win. JJ can help us in that regard. We aren’t winning with freshmen and sophomores. Red may as well get canned now if this is our approach.

That's what the portal is for.

JJ doesn't help us win now, it's not magically going to change next year. We need to find dogs and glue guys. JJ is neither of those.

We tell people to leave every year and we suck worse. We aren’t getting everything we need in the portal. We need to develop and keep people. This is the definition of insanity.

We need to develop and keep players that are DEVELOPING. The actual issue is we were keeping guys like Chris Bell and JJ who have been the same player the entire time they've been here.

Notice I never said anything about Bell. If we just keep the freshmen we may as well fire Red now. He’s not making the tournament next year with freshmen, sophomores and a portal center.

Highly likely he was going to leave no matter what, but people were saying similar things about Mintz last season, acting like it was no biggie that he was leaving since we can just get a guy from the portal. Said similar when Girard left too. If you are relying on the portal to solve all your problems you will be disappointed every time. JJ is not perfect but replacing him in the portal along with our zillion other needs would be terrible. Along with getting a pg, we must try everything we can to keep him around. Call me crazy but I would try and keep Bell around too
 
Anyone who says JJ hasn’t improved from last year has not been paying attention. He’s taking a much bigger role and is obviously the leader of this team. He took a back seat to Mintz last year. He’s taking charge and willingly taking big shots at big moments. His stroke looks a lot better. His defense is not great but it is better. I would say he will probably take another big jump next year. With him coming back we might not need to go out and overpay in the portal for a point guard. JJ plus the freshman coming in might be able to handle the position. Kline and the coaching staff thinks he can come in and play next year. Thinking that a complete overhaul is the way to go should just look at where this team is. Freeman and Moore were highly rated recruits and they do not have the ability to carry a team. Next years freshman might be similiar. Adding a piece or two is the way to go, not a complete changeover. JJ and Bell have been successful at this level. I would want to have them around as seniors.

Not me. Hoops be damned, although part of me feels a bit sorry for her because she become famous when her mother turned her out with a porn video. The mom makes OJ look like a good guy.

If things go well with Kiyan and Syracuse. We might have to make room for a bandwagon of fans consisting of middle aged moms. This could become a smaller Syracuse version of Taylor Swift and KC.
 
I can’t remember where I was listening a while ago but LaLa was talking about Kiyan next year. I swear she said something about how she will anyone that messes with him. I believed her. Maybe Autry is already on her list.
