That’s a pretty good comparison. More of a glider. But I am very concerned with his lack of athleticism. He’s not a P4 athlete from what I’ve seen. Really hope he is smart and crafty to make up for it.Kiyan is so much more like Lawrence Moten than like his Dad. Obviously not the physical nightmare that Melo was but smooth and silky as can be.
His dad wasn’t a jump out of the gym guy either and remember he put on the pounds right about nowThat’s a pretty good comparison. More of a glider. But I am very concerned with his lack of athleticism. He’s not a P4 athlete from what I’ve seen. Really hope he is smart and crafty to make up for it.
I would like to see more lower half explosion. And he needs to finish higher at the rim at the next level. He needs to get stronger in his legs.
I don’t see him as a day one difference maker scoring wise. He looks like a great glue guy at some point. Hope I’m wrong.
Sadiq White is a tremendous athlete, hopefully he can fill that void. But I’d like to see better skills from him.
Eh, Carmelo was an absolutely elite athlete in college. Sure, he maybe didn't have elite ups, but his quickness and strength were pretty much unmatched. His dad wasn’t a jump out of the gym guy either and remember he put on the pounds right about now
He’ll never be confused for Stevie Thompson or Hak, but I’ve seen some videos where he elevates. That’s a pretty good comparison. More of a glider. But I am very concerned with his lack of athleticism. He’s not a P4 athlete from what I’ve seen. Really hope he is smart and crafty to make up for it.

He scored five baskets this weekend with Smith guarding him. Smith is supposed to be a very good defender. He’ll never be confused for Stevie Thompson or Hak, but I’ve seen some videos where he elevates.
He doesn’t seem to have a pound of muscle on him. He’s just bones at this point. He’s probably more athletic than given credit for. I’d love to see him after a couple of years of dedicated S and C.
He definitely has the Moten style to his game.
How did he do? If he didn't have a 50 point game he's useless for next yearIf anyone is interested, Kiyan and his team plays at 8pm tonight and the game will be streamed on the League Ready YouTube channel.

Let’s say, from what I saw, he won’t be the reason we make the tournament next year. How did he do? If he didn't have a 50 point game he's useless for next year![]()
Nice. Good you were able to come to that conclusion already. Looks like his team beat his dads Alma Mater by 35 and he had 15. Guess we can close down the thread haLet’s say, from what I saw, he won’t be the reason we make the tournament next year.
Since coming back from an injury, Kiyan has been really good, and he's a major reason why LuHi is back in contention for the Chipotle Nationals after a rough start. He's not Melo. No one is. But Kiyan can play.Nice. Good you were able to come to that conclusion already. Looks like his team beat his dads Alma Mater by 35 and he had 15. Guess we can close down the thread ha
Well said. And yeah, I'd love to see Syracuse offer D. Mingo, while Moussa Kamissoko in 2027 holds a 'Cuse offer...No one is going to get big numbers on that team. They have 5-6 power four players on that team, maybe more. We’re recruiting a five star point guard and four star forward on that team that don’t event start. I like the fact that Kiyan easily fits into a team concept, but knows when to make plays when his team needs him to.
He’s already prepared for SUKiyan led all scorers with 15 points in 21 minutes. He did that while not shooting well from 3 or the line.

The commentators noted that he was something like 5-25 from three so far this year (and since his injury). He has a good mid range shot, but he’s not out athlete-ing anyone and needs to be better from three as a 2 guard to be of benefit to next years team. His defense was okay, but not great.Nice. This might be a dumb question but why are we not recruiting the guys that do start? No one is going to get big numbers on that team. They have 5-6 power four players on that team, maybe more. Syracuse did recruit LuHi's starting PG, Nigel James, but GMac was his lead recruiter, and after he left for Siena, I think James focused on other schools; he is committed to Marquette. And Syracuse is reportedly recruiting 2026 5-star PG Dylan Mingo, who plays a good amount, and a 2027 4-star wing, who is a reserve and just a sophomore. This might be a dumb question but why are we not recruiting the guys that do start?
Are these guys class of 27 and being younger is why they dont start?
One is going to Penn State and another to FSU. The two guys I mentioned are 2026 and 2027 kids. This might be a dumb question but why are we not recruiting the guys that do start?
