All this kid has to do is look at Silent G and Eli (and Wes if you want to go way back) If JB wants you as a transfer you can almost guarantee you’ll be a stud here. From my understanding this is a Dayton vs Syracuse battle right now
The zone don't mask that any more - and he'd be a perfect fit if he can't play defense. I'm starting to get onboard with this kid.
Tell Blackwell to get in touch and explain what a nice move it is from Urbana to Cuse! Or me! I spent a decent portion of my life at that school - I could be lead recruiter!
Dayton is losing 38ppg.Coming here puts us closer to the tournament/contention than it does Dayton. With what they’re losing and how teams are projected to improve they’re a fringe top-half of the A-10 team which is nowhere close to the tournament. And our track record with transfers is evident with Eli blowing up like he did.
Crossing my fingers, we could use some good news
In WWII people were asked to go to war. We’re being asked to stay home and sit on our coach. We should be able to handle this.Would you rather go out and die? In the 1940's people had to go to Europe and fight a war. No football for them. We do what we have to do. No one wants football cancelled. I hope it isn't. But I'm not willing to have people die so that I can have it.
exactly my point. Brian was talking as if we are being asked too much by missing our sports. Our country has been asked a lot more than this.In WWII people were asked to go to war. We’re being asked to stay home and sit on our coach. We should be able to handle this.

Yeah, after Kam's closed, what's the point of staying?!
Dayton has more guards than we do...and even though he’d be a “Forward” for us, he’d handle the ball constantlyIt’s going to come down if he wants to olay G or .
Yep. I don’t know their scholarship situation but him going would essentially give Dayton 6 guys at the 1/2/3 before Griffin is involved
Vaughn ending up in Dayton would be good for us, I would think
Yes I’d love Fair, Wes or KrisJo too. Right now QG is probably starting at the 3, which works defensively but really limits our offensePersonally I don't want Griffin at forward, I want him at guard. (I understand this is a pipe dream because buddy and Girard are not coming off the floor). I believe we need more size at the 3. Our best defensive teams is when we have height on the wings. We need a 3 who is 6'7" or taller IMO. Kris Joseph, CJ Fair, Wes Johnson. We get into trouble on interior defense and rebounding when our guys are under 6'7" imo. Eli I thought was a little smaller for the wing.

I, also, would be more comfortable calling him "Coburn."Cockburn, Kofi
Do they have access to weight rooms? Can we get Sidibe to put on 20 lbs of muscle? And Edwards 40 lbs? I don’t want to see Marek have to play the 5 again this year. I really don’t. The kid deserves a break.
Let's hope we get similar results to 2016 not 2014.From my understanding this is a Dayton vs Syracuse battle right now
I would sign up for CJ Fair 2 in a heartbeat.
Problem is, there's nobody on next year's roster like that -- maybe Braswell can emerge, but that is no guarantee.
So the question comes down to: who are the best players we can add, whether or not they fit some "prototype" or not? And Griffin would be a pretty darn good "get." 6-7 or not.
I like the positional flexibility with him. Can play SF and SG. Seems like a good fit.
