I didn't forget him. I'm just thinking that Guerrier and Marek get the bulk of those minutes, and that the three i mentioned could be more important next season.

Got it. Just keep in mind that Newton has a nice upside, but, yeah, his minutes should be limited.

Absolutely. I like him. In a year or two. He's kinda blocked now, especially if Braswell will be healthy. But, yeah, he's got potential. And who knows—maybe he blows everyone's doors off right away. That would be a great 'problem' to have.

Indeed - if he's smart enough and good enough early, he could force JB's hand, and he'd have to play him -
like CJ did as a Frosh.
Or - dare to dream? - Moten.

While it's not the norm, it also is not like it has ever happened before.

we want him. I know that. And the way they distribute minutes at UM, he will play more here.
Doesn’t it really depend on playing right away? Tempting but not so much if he has to sit.

Any chance Griffin gave the coaches a heads up and that’s part of what (potentially) flipped Tape? Might be a stretch but I know Tape said he wanted to see if we got an Eli replacement.

*This is me trying to be overly optimistic with a couple of glasses of whiskey in me

Na, something is happening at Duke for Tape not to happen. Either Carey or Stanley or a possible reclass is making this decision

Man, Duke getting two years out of Carey would be gross. But adding another five capable fouls to bang with him is a nice way to offset that I guess

I feel like he is going somewhere else for some reason. Were we really going for this kid?
