Ha, I doubt it. But you never know with Hop. I think we are in a very good spot for Nate.
I thought the same thing. That's as good as a verbal.Didn't see this in his thread, but in the article about JB calling the dying fan, he told the guy he was gonna coach Buddy.
Although I attended Syracuse and UW, I no longer wish Hop success.
Hops a likable guy and competent. Goes a long way
Yes I would hope so but Hop is harvesting his current relationships. As time goes by he will be active there not here I assume and hopeTrue but his school is all the way on the other side of the country, and isn't exactly an established basketball powerhouse. We should be able to beat out Washington for east coast kids.
Love the part where he says he's known a ton of cuse players, but has gotten closer with this year's group more than any other.
Likely just the closeness of ages.Love the part where he says he's known a ton of cuse players, but has gotten closer with this year's group more than any other.
I loved when he was asked to mention something about JB that people might not know. His response was that JB loved their dog and the family jokes that he might love him more than anyone else in the family! Exactly how my dad and I are with dogs.Love the part where he says he's known a ton of cuse players, but has gotten closer with this year's group more than any other.

Buddy is good enough to come here. I understand the questions marks about his athleticism, but the kid clearly can flat out score the rock and that is something we need at the guard position. Hopefully in his year at New Hampton he will develop his ball handling, quickeness, and leaping ability. Wouldn't be shocked if he maybe reclassified to '19 so he gets two more years to develop his athleticism, Jimmy Jr. did it.
Buddy proving he can play with the elite!

but why aren't we recruiting Antwann Jones
Other than that Mrs Lincoln, how did you enjoy the play? This may be a spot where we really need this guy to be a shooter. You do know that besides shooting, Jones is better than Buddy at every other aspect of the game, right? I've actually watched full games of both. Don't let one EYBL tournament sway about Jones. He's pretty much a consensus top 50 recruit for a reason.

Basically agree. Does Buddy have the quickness to get out on the wing in the zone?I'm not letting one game sway my opinion. I'm looking at the entire EYBL season. Buddy is shooting nearly 50% from 3 for the entire EYBL season. Jones is shooting 37% overall and 22% from 3. We've recruited Jone's types before and that's why our offense has stunk. Enough with the zone types. We need scorers. If we get another 2g it'll probably be Luther M.

Buddy is also really good at not taking a scholarship. The big boys sure are lining up for Jones. Definitely better at every aspect besides shooting. Well, except maybe scoring in general, and basketball IQ. But, Jones was once top 50. I wonder why his best offer out of his state is USF?
