One thing I know - Vanderbilt had an RPI of 51 going into today.

They lost to a team with an RPI of 143. Should drop them to about 60.

That's gonna leave a mark.

There is no equivalent for this loss really for us -- if we lost to NC State yesterday it wouldn't have been as bad as a loss as Tennessee is (obviously BC would have been worse). As awful as we felt yesterday, we lost to a good team -- Vandy might lose their tournament hopes because of a loss on a neutral floor to a 140RPI team...yikes

I don't see how they could get chosen ahead of us. Everyone points out we have 13 losses and now they do as well. Even if the Texas A&M wins cancel each other out (I think ours looks better since it was a neutral site and Vandy's was at home), their only other significant win was at home against Kentucky. We have the road win at Duke, and the Notre Dame/Bonaventure wins as well. And their best out of conference win is...Stony Brook.

LiveRPI is 60.. Not sure if it means much either -- but they certainly can't use our Modest RPI of 67 against us if we compare these 2 teams.

To me it is about Top 100 wins. We have 8, including 4 in the top 50 with a very good win at cameron indoor. I do not believe any other bubble teams have more than 8 top 100 wins. It feels so close. Just hoping we get the nod.

When everything is equal go to quality wins, and go to quality road / neutral wins.

Let's hope the same thing happens tomorrow whereby a team ahead of us loses a bad game. (looking at the A-10)

We deserve to get in if its us vs Vandy. Looking at our last bunch of games and arbitrarily deciding as that as a fan means nothing. We are judged vs other teams, not our invisible, moving, emotion-fueled standard.

Yep...I would say we're better than Vandy specficially based on Top 50 Road win and more top 50 wins.
