He has a brother, Xavier Doty, a junior, class of 2027 at Fulton high school - 6’2” guard I believe. He averaged 19 points a game last year as a sophomore. He was named to the All CNY Large School team as a sophomore. He also plays lacrosse.

That and Buddy being a high major quality player. If Buddy was a Cornell level player like his brother than JB isn't incentivized to coach his kid and might retire earlier.

Isaiah Henderson, a freshman who hasn't played much, came off the bench and showed he could score as well.

Marcus Jackson did not play. He wasn't playing earlier this season, left team for a few games, came back and played somewhat last week when they played three straight.

Riley Mulvey missed his sixth straight game with a concussion. Reid Ducharme hasn't suited up at all this year. The kid has been injured so much during his career, so not sure if he will be back or if this will be his 2nd redshirt season.

Greg Paulus really struggling at Niagara. Siena shot the ball really well, and got up to a 38 point lead, and Niagara didn't show too much on either end of the court. One of the worst performances of a MAAC team that I've seen.

Also, thought it was great that Siena was up 25 in the 1st half and Gerry was pressing full court. He either hates Paulus, or was just trying to make a point to his team. Gerry also called a time out fairly late in the 2nd half when Niagara scored a 10-0 run and Gerry lit into his guys. No letting up on the gas pedal for GMac.

Assuming Siena's season goes as expected, Gerry will be talked about for different openings in the off-season. Louis Orr coached only one season at Siena before he took the Seton Hall job. And guys like Mike Deane, Paul Hewitt, and Fran McCaffrey used success at Siena to parlay into big jobs.

Whether Gerry coaches at Cuse, or not, he will always be connected to the school.

Gerry doesn't hate Paulus. The announcers on the TV broadcast said they're good friends. Paulus was in high school at CBA in Syracuse when GMac & SU were making their run to the 2003 National Championship. And I think the year Paulus was SU's QB Gerry was starting his coaching career with JB.

Absolutely! People who said going to Siena was a bad idea for Gerry's first job don't understand how Siena - and many teams in that league - make an ideal training ground for new coaches.

That's the truth, but the Duke brotherhood must be overrated. Six full seasons at Niagara and only one over .500. I don't want to say he's at a dead end, but Niagara has been patient with him.

By the way, Jake Presutti is on the Niagara staff and was fairly active coaching up the players last night. He's bounced around but is getting good experience. Hard to believe he is 39 years old, but he is.

I didn't think there was any hate. It was said tongue-in-cheek. No different than Duke beating Niagara this year 100-42. It's going to be a long season for Paulus unless they do a complete turnaround.
