Siena Basketball: GMAC / Blackwell / AO

Did Siena increase ticket prices this year? I believe that is part of SU's attendance woes (not as big as the product but costs are an issue).

Also Gmac might not want to uproot his family again - can't be easy having young kids change schools every other year. IF he gets opportunities.

I disagree.
Unless SU comes calling, I think he would stay another year or two.
He loves the area and feels a need to bring them back consistently until he leaves.
At least that is the vibe I get.

My season tickets for Siena are not cheap, but they are also great seats, and I think they are the same as last year. If you want to sit in the corners or on the ends, I would assume they are a lot cheaper.

Gerry will only leave Siena for the right opportunity. I said IF they make the tournament, there is a good chance that Gerry won't be back. My thoughts are someone might throw around a decent amount of cabbage to leave. And even though his family has taken to the Albany area, as a Coach does he want to be pigeon holed into staying in Albany, and not chasing that next big thing.

I always think back to Will Brown who was offered many opportunities for advancement and big raises in salary to leave UAlbany after they made multiple NCAA tournaments and he turned them all down. Eventually he got fired by UAlbany, had to go to coaching a Women's program in D2, and now coaching a high school in Albany. All because his wife didn't want to leave the Albany area.

I'm not speaking for Will or Gerry, but do you take job security or do you take job advancement. In Will Brown's case he took job insecurity.

If Siena wins this, its going to be because they are clawing and scratching for the victory.
Merrimack has two impressive guards, Kennedy and Shelton, both out of the same high school in Philly. There is no way Merrimack can afford them next year. Especially Kennedy who is only a frosh.

Merrimack would be a low major that would keep it close against us… just saying lol. They look very athletic and that zone defense is not a joke.
