SMU Postgame

was he hurt? when he came out, he went to the locker room. eventually came back out. no jj nor kiyan the last possession.

They didn't mention it on the broadcast, so I guess we will wait and see. He didn't look like he had ice on anything, but we will see what is said.

If by accident, it is still the correct move to bench him. Kiyan not in at the end was for size I believe looking to get Kyle on the offensive glass if Kingz missed. Betsy probably better for spreading the floor as well Maybe? Just guessing there?

Not sure if we can beat UNC and I have no hope for duke, but if we could manage to finish the season 18-13, I wouldn’t be that upset.

It would be nice to find a way to get to 20 wins. Wouldn’t get us in the tournament unless we get two of Duke/UNC/Louisville, but at least it’s respectable.

Where would that leave us with a decision for the future?

Such a good win. Those BC, va tech, houston and clemson losses really sting right now. Realistically all games we played well enough to win and if we're sitting at 19-7 right now we're firmly in the tournament. This team has the TALENT to be in the dance. Hope we go on a sick run and somehow make it.

I don’t think that’s true.

It probably is. Bumps to 3 quad 1 wins mid to low 50s net. I’d say like near next 4 out. Ultimately to be on the bubble have to win out going into ACCT and that wouldn’t be a guarantee even if it happened.

So happy for the players, fans and staff. Enfield not having his shot blocker on the floor up 1 was a huge mistake. I really didn't understand his thought process there.
As soon as the announcer said, "smu with a small lineup," I yelled, "SOMEONE GO TO THE RIM FOR THE LAST SHOT." Anyways, if the coaching job is for some reason vacant at the end of the year I think I'd be a great option.

Kiyan had the stats in the second half, but his first half was excellent. He was patient, didn't force his offense, didn't chuck up shots, and let the game to come him. And the game did come to him in the second half and he took advantage BUT his first-half patience set the tone.

When I talk about tough coaching from Red earlier in the year on Kiyan it was this. You need to get him to stop coming in and chucking up shots play within the flow of the game and let it come to him. If I was coach, if Kiyan came in chucking, he would go to the bench. Have a little chat with him and try him again.

Besides the obvious brutal losses to Hofstra and BC, it’s also a killer that we lost to Clemson, Miami and Va Tech all at home. All good teams but c’mon, you can’t drop all of those. A win like today is great but makes you lament at the same time
