So Are We Going to Pretend

It is next to impossible in our society to keep a big secret. You somewhat suggest that NCAA tournament games are fixed. I'm sorry but I think that is ridiculous. Why would the nCAA get involved with something like that? There is no great rooting interest for them. You also suggest that all top recruits are bought and paid for. I think there is a great deal of chicanery in recruiting. But I don't believe that it so corrupt that everyone is cheating. Once again, that would be impossible to keep quiet. Syracuse self reported because that is what the NCAA requires. other schools do it all the time.

Oh boy.

Oh boy.
Unless you believe in crazy conspiracy theories that is. I will help out here. No UFO' s have ever visited the earth. 9/11 wasn't an inside job. The NCAA doesn't fix games. The list goes on and on.

Oh boy.

Now how is the NCAA going to punish them?

"OK everybody, we're going to pretend UNC never went to the Championship game. OK?"

They shouldn't have even been eligible for the tournament for 3 years. They should be wiping 3 losing seasons from their record, not a National Championship run.

UNC did a lot of wrong and they should get severely punished... but they likely won't.

At the same time there is a process which they followed (used) for appeal, and as far as I know the players on this year's team are not in question. So why would this year's final four be taken away from them? It's an issue with prior teams and players.

Bryant. Last I checked UNC score 50 points in the paint.

Plus the games we lost during Boeheim's suspension.

And most importantly, it's the principle of it. They did far worse, and were not punished yet. We did barely anything, and were punished severely. Yet look who we lose to in the Final Four. The "superior" team.

It's a joke.
It took 8 years for SU to be punished.

I'd like to ask the thinking men on this forum, those not under the payroll of the NCAA or some other conflict of interest organization to ask themselves the following question:

Why would three posters in quick succession accuse me of supporting UFOs and fake moon landings, just because I am suggesting fixed games? Especially after the recent FIFA scandals and Tim Donaughy? What exactly is crazy about my ideas? Which one of us is reactive and short-sighted?

Why did our great streak of regular seasons start after Boeheim joined Coach K on the Olympic team?

Yes...and why did it take you 3 weeks to finally ask these questions??? Hmmmmm...

He had obviously been abducted by aliens and just now regained access to the board.

To be fair mine was a reference to 9/11 Trutherism.

I just want to point out that it was the aliens on the UFO's that took us to the Columbia Pictures set on the real moon, so it was not fake.

If the Gonzaga game was fixed Cooney never would've been called for being out of bounds.

And a million other things.

Remind yourself when the best college hoops practice facility opened.

You're the only one who responded to me earnestly so I will reply to you.

I actually had the same thought during the Gonzaga game, but there were several calls that went our way that game too including on the very next possession if my memory serves me right. What are some of these million other things?

And again, the Carmelo Center opens after Boeheim joins the Olympic team. There have been some very funky stuff happening around the Syracuse program since then. There are people on this board who know the truth, if any of them are troubled by what is going on, please feel free to message me to talk. I will not allow these paper-thin ad hominem attacks to deter me so if you want me to shut up about fixed games you're going to have to ban me.

I don't want you to shut up, this is good stuff.

SPECTRE

Sounds like the jig is up.
Great achievements and honors often come late in ones career, its not always about unknown machinations.
Sometimes it is the culmination of decades of hard work.

That makes logical sense. But that doesn't mean it's reality.

SPECTRE

I promised not to respond to this type of comment, but I want to note to those watching that this is the script for when fixing games is brought up. I've witnessed the same exact responses on NFL boards when fixed games are brought up.

It goes like this:
1. Make conspiracy theory and tin foil hat references.
2. If that doesn't work try to make a mockery of the comments with things like "this is great stuff", "this guy is my favorite poster", "I love this thread".
3. Derail the thread by getting multiples posters (who are really the same guy) debating something off-topic or cracking jokes until posters start asking for the thread to be closed (and those posters might be the same guys with a different username).
4. Find an excuse to close the thread, especially if real users start to agree that games are fixed.

Since I am seeing the same exact things on this board that I saw on NFL boards I believe the disinfo agents are all the same guys working across many teams and many sports.

At this point, you are just outing yourselves to me.

Wow. Does this mean I can now introduce myself as a disinformation agent in social situations?

I can assure you that every poster on this board is a unique poster (in the literal sense of the word).

Unless, of course, I am part of the conspiracy.

I will be really pissed if I find out I'm also orangefan13 and CaliCuse.

Melo Center isn't close to the best practice facility.
