Probably not until we meet them in the NCAA's someday.:rolling:

So in other words, today was probably it.

48-16. A nice round .750.

The obvious question, of course...how the heck did SU lose to those scrubs 16 times?

I was thinking the same thing as the clock wound down.

Uh, Seton Hall had a good run about 20 years ago, even going to the Final Four once.

they should have won it all in '89, refs gave that game to michigan at the end

Uh, Seton Hall had a good run about 20 years ago.

And that, in a nutshell, is why I won't miss the BE (that much anyways).

PC, SJU, and SH became completely irrelevant. Gtown spent years in mediocrity. Nova was boom or bust.

If those schools could have put together a more credible run over the last 20 years, it would feel a lot worse going to the ACC.

But they didn't. Bball became essentially cash cows at their schools, and schools like Miami, VPI, WVU, SU, and Pitt lined their coffers with unearned money.

The BE was great, but it had its time, and largely, that time was 20 years ago.

The Big East has been a better conference than the ACC most years over the last 10 years or so. Duke and Carolina and a lot of mediocre programs. SU, ND, Pitt and the Ville are about to give the ACC a much-needed upgrade.

Are you saying that you will not mind leaving the Big E due to its bottom feeders? Like there are no bottom feeders in the ACC. If PC, SJU and SH were all consistently good it would have come out of our hide. More often than not the Big E was the strongest conf top to btm. The problem with the Big E was not lack of internal competition.

If PJ decided he wanted to stay, for whatever reason, there's no reason to believe they couldn't have had an extremely long and successful run.

10 years prob. We will play Nova and St Johns a decent amount. Which probably leaves no time for SH.

Good program, I respect the Hall and wish them the best. I will miss all these schools except Buttgers and Uconn who I don't respect and don't wnat to be affiliated with.

id say pretty soon.

the rock is a great arena, and if Syracuse cant wedge itself into the Garden, they will play jersey.

id say theyd be 2 on the list.

1. MSG
2. the Rock
3. brooklyn

and it would likely be a true road game as opposed to a neutral site made for tv jobber.

lordy, lordy Syracuse leaves the state in dec??!!!

the horror. the horror...

Oh Lord

Catholic 7 vs Southern Baptist (ACC) challenge.

I totally disagree. They may not be great or good every year but they are better than watching Clemson, BC , most years Miami and Florida st, wake.

I'm glad we are in a stable conference but for basketball top to bottom I would rather have most big east teams. The big teams in ACC will be great but Maryland is gone. I'm glad we are bringing Pitt, nd, and Lville. That alone makes watching more ACC tolerable for me. I'm not knocking ACC but comparatively to big east I will take BE everytime.

Since 2000, Clemson, BC, Wake, Florida St and Miami, have made the tournament more than Providence or Seton Hall... St. John's had a few good years.

Ok but what does that mean?

I picked 2 team providence and Clemson. Since 2000 pc has 194 wins and Clemson has 200

Would seem like an ideal team to play on our court in November or December.

Exactly. SH, Providence, St Johns are all perfect early season cupcake type programs now.

SU @ SH? I don't see it.

MSG will always have room for an SU game in December of November.

No way you can risk losing a game to SH, which would always be a possibility at the Rock. SH has no respect nationally, and it would be a definite bad loss. Can't see it happening.

Losing at Nova and Gtown isn't a reputation killer. Losing at SJU would be shaky, but seems pretty unlikely, given recent history.

SH @ SU maybe, but that's the only way I see it happening.
