Lightly recruited Broms will end up with 31 or 32 career starts by the time he is done, 1st team all ACC. Team Captain. Highly ranked in the nation in sacks and TFL's. That will get a NFL scouts attention.

5 star recruited by everyone Williams, 2nd string rotational player at LB at ND.

I would hope that the staff is pounding this message everyday with the heavily recruited in state kids.

I'm sure Moore is all over it.

BRAND is everything though, right?

Bullish on King Brom's brand.

Bearish on IW's.

Syracuse. Of course it wouldve been ideal to have both. Ishaq would be a stud DE lining up next to House Bromley.

Lightly UNrecruited, nobody heard of him, No schollies on LOI day, thank you Boomer Esiason/Downstate game... Broms

Slight tweaking

I feel bad for ishaq. I don't think he has ever liked it there. I do remember shortly into his freshman year he took a leave from the team, and there was a lot of speculation that he wasn't going back.
It revolved around Kelly wanting ishaq to move to TE, then another lb transferred and they let ishaq stay at lb. maybe he should have moved. 29 games 39 total tackles 17/22, 5.5 tfl and 1 sack.

Don't discount the advantages Ishaq enjoys with the downtown South Bend scene. And should there ever be a power outage that shuts down the entire strip mall, it's only a short 1 hour drive to Gary.

You might want to re-think this.

You know, Gary is the Paris of northwest Indiana.

But that omits cow tipping which one would have to visit Fonda NY to really partake in. So he has that going for him.

Sorry, I thought you said slight twerking.

haha... as a guy whose family is mostly from both South Bend and Gary... I want to be mad at this, I just cant. Hey, at least my parents thought better of it and raised me in Austin, TX.

This is what happens when parents don't know the difference between guiding and demanding.

Remeber Robert Nkemdiche, the consensus top recruit in the nation? He was committed and wanted to attend Clemson, his mother forced him to go to Ole Miss. He has zero sacks, truly a forced to be reckoned with. Congratulations, mom. You forced your son out of attending a far superior institution both academically and athletically, and you've forced him into the poorest and most backward state in the union.

Ishaq should have been an Orange with his family history. That was a huge mistake not going to Cuse. If it worked for mom and dad stay with what works...

Its tough for a kid to choose between a prestigious school like Notre Dame when I am sure everyone around him was telling him to go to Notre Dame. Obviously Notre Dame is on a different level than Syracuse. With that said some kids may be able to see through the fog and think rationally about a major decision like this. Myself, I would be looking at my competition and opportunity to get on the field as much as possible. As a baseball player growing up it would have been hard to choose Lemoyne over say Louisville or Florida State. But if you think rationally about opportunity to play you may get to play 4 years at Lemoyne and 1-2 years at one of the others.

Did it occur to anyone that Ishaq just isn't that good and wouldn't have done any better at SU? If he was a great player then he would be playing more. He was simply over rated coming out of highschool

Not really the point. Fact is the kid would have played more and earlier is he had come here.

Here he would have been the centerpiece of the class, there he's just another guy. It would have been a win/win if he had come to SU.

It's too bad because I think he was damn close to coming here as well. What i don't get is that if you are good enough NFL scouts will find you, but you have to get on the field. I bet if Bromley went to Delaware he would still be getting drafted in 2014. The scouts are paid to find any and all talent that can help
