FINAL FOUR HERE WE COME!!
For his sake more than ours I hope he gets to play, shakes off some rust, does some good stuff and feels good afterwards. I cannot imagine how hard this has been for the young man. Go "Cuse! If he plays 5-10mins and doesn't hurt himself it's a win for me.
He was the 39th ranked player for his class out of HS.Was he a highly rated recruit coming out?
I expect less than 5' tonight, if any. May be score dependent.
Westry was ranked by RSCI at 33rd overall. It is exceedingly rare for a guard with poor shooting to be ranked this high. Was he a highly rated recruit coming out?

I expect nothing from him at Syracuse, so if he even plays 100 total minutes this year, it's a win.Westry was ranked by RSCI at 33rd overall. It is exceedingly rare for a guard with poor shooting to be ranked this high.
Coming out of high school, Westry was like the anti-Bell.
He couldn't shoot, but could do literally everything else well. He was a lock down defender, at 6'5 could defend the other teams best player at positions 1-3 and had legit point guard skills.
Now, who knows if he'll ever fully recover.
Even if he's completely healthy and hasn't lost some of his athleticism... Not only has he been injured for two years, developing the rust that comes with extended time off, Westry has missed extremely important development time.
Hopefully he can be a contributor at some point this year, and a rotation player next year? It would be just too much to ask for him to become the guy we anticipated pre injuries.
Two years off without two knee injuries is difficult enough. Two knee injuries is a tough road back.
We can use whatever defense we can get.If he can just play some defense and nothing else, I’ll consider it a positive!
Hmm, i missed that Rodman/Van Damme masterpieceFor those of you who saw the movie Double Teamed in the 90s, the final scene is what the staff has in mind for using Chance.
