Something Has To Change..

I feel that Fran would never have left before nil. I feel we are putting handcuffs on him and basically trying to play money ball here. I have said it here before, u need guys who have stayed in program like Indiana. Their team averages 24. We do not. They have well coached guys on both front lines. They still spent a few bucks on qb and stud oline guy. We haven’t done that yet. Indiana spent 21 mil this year we are probably less than half that. If we stay this course we will lose Fran for someone that spends a bit of money. I’m sure Angelli is our highest paid guy as he should be but under this I don’t see Fran with his hands tied getting us any better than 2 years ago. I prey I’m wrong but the landscape is ever changing for the worse.
We are coming off a 3-9 season. I'm not sure if people are lining up for him right now. Every school can only spend what they have. I'm sure if you donate the difference, the school will allow it.

I am a firm believer this will be corrected sooner then later, even Billionaires cant sustain donating 20-25 millions a year with no actual return. Texas Tech spent a ton of money last year and got no real return on investment. Once the field expands and it will eventually the thrill of making the playoff for these whales will be even less, so then its championship or bust. Indiana's current roster was about 15 million bucks i have seen, and they probably win the title. Imagine what teams who spent 30 will think if that happens year in and year out.
Texas Tech got a crapload of return on their investment. They made the playoffs and were relevant in the sport that they love for the 1st time since Crabtree scored to beat Texas.

If you "only" have like 2 billion dollars and can't afford to buy a major league pro sports team then it sure would be a hell'uva lot of fun to toss $10 mill a year to your alma mater and get to play GM or personnel director. Seems to be what Cody Campbell is doing and it seems pretty damn awesome to be them right now.
