Yep he has too. Also I looked at 247 sports and they have the class rated mid 50's. Again about ever every class has been rated at Syracuse for oh the last 15 years. BFD. There isn't much difference once you get past 30 anyway and guess what doubt Syracuse ever scratches the top 30 anyway but people keep beating the drum year after year. been making the same post for years and still waiting for that top 25 class to pop up. Call me when it does and I will buy all the beer for a few tailgates.

The coaches gambled big on this season looking to capitalize on last years success. And we were involved with a lot of big time recruits early on. Yeah, it sucks that things didn't go according to plan and we're stuck picking up the pieces now. But I think the coaches should get some respect for betting big. That takes balls. And it's our only path out of the mediocrity this program is mired in.

We lost recruiting battles to FSU PSU and WVU, not exactly easy programs to go against given our track record. Fortin was a miss but lets see who comes via the portal.

I do think we should try to get another big recruiter or two on the staff that can help like Swag Daddy

The portal isn't an instant panacea. Lots of headcase's and me-first's in there along with solid, overlooked guys. I hope we grab a 5th year QB and a D-linemen. Mine the JUCOs for a LBer. The rest should be Freshmen. Bleich ofcourse is always welcomed.

Agree 100% and that was with really no Rutgers and directional Florida schools to recruit against. but nobody wants to hear it.

The Germans are rutger-esque scrapping the bottom. I'm glad everyone is so bullish on them.

The good news is we still have 7 spots to fill and a bevy of really good kids available including transfers. While most schools are full. We should see some January action and hopefully good action.

and fyi, rvls has our class ranked #49. Which includes them lowering Kinsler's rating from a 4 star to a 3 star. That's not great but it's not as dire as some make it out to be. And there's still room in the class to go up.

The biggest disappointed (and unfortunately the most important) has to really only be at QB.

Those 2 guys are mountains and probably played enough soccer to be light on their feet. I'm not gonna kick out athletic OL prospects after what we saw last year.

Ok, but missing on recruits is part of the game for every program. Just have to live with it. Every situation is different but Kids have a say in where they go not as simple as " closing" like many seem to think

Our recruiting continues to be good enough to win 6-7 games — and possibly 8 in a good year. The 10-win season (which included a bowl win) isn’t going to happen often. In order to take the next step, we’ll need consecutive top 40 classes. But the most important thing is being able to recruit playmakers, including talented QBs.

This is Dino's biggest problem. He's too loyal to assistants that aren't cutting the mustard. SU is spending millions to upgrade and invest in the program. Dino needs to follow suit. Sit these chaps down in his office and utter this sentence when he gives the pink slip:

difference being there was no incremental uplift after a 10 win season. Cuse football is a vicious cycle.

The mid season losses and blowouts and huge sack totals were crushing to recruiting. A lot of guys we lost before the season started but it didn't help coming down the stretch.

Well its not exactly an apples vs apples comparison The two commits Rutty took were completely unknown and had no other offers. For the two we took both had multiple offers including Penn State and one was a flip from a D1 school. So slightly different.
