agree, with Potts I could see her wanting more playing time. Burrows is still a mystery though unless she knew she was going to compete with someone else for playing time.A big loss dont get me wrong. But she did take a step back this year in terms of stats; shooting just 36% from the field is not great.
One thing of note: I dont think Izoje stays if there was no chance of fielding a competitive team.
Ah one of thosefrom Syracuse.com
"Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse women’s basketball guard Sophie Burrows plans to seek a transfer for her final season, she said Wednesday.
Burrows’ decision comes one day after she signed with the sports agency Weave."

With Sophie leaving...Shocker...This is the saddest i think I have been with any player leaving..Are we Broke or what??? Who can we Pay?...Or, is it more to it? She seemed So Orange!!!!This is really a shocker for me. So Maddie Potts is leaving too? Our Australian tree is really thinning.
Just read about that Weave agency. Only started in Dec of 2025 and specializing in women’s basketball particularly international players. I think these agents are hyping players up, talking to teams, gauging their market value. Some team will pay Sophie!! She has a skill set that is much in demand.. She can shoot the three ball and what she lacks in athleticism, she makes up for with a high basketball IQ, grit, and toughness. I just loved watching her play. She will be hard to replace!Just read about that Weave agency. Only started in Dec of 2025 and specializing in women’s basketball particularly international players. Uggh.
