I guess this means the end of the Southwest miracle flights.

I suspect that is on the list of reasons why Southwest’s boarding system has become so unpopular in recent years. It’s not shocking they’re doing away with it; I won’t fly Southwest with my young kids because of it.

I bet you're right. As a legitimate wheelchair user, it worked very well for me to be able to get on first and take the front seat without having to transfer to an aisle chair to go to an assigned seat that might be further back. But people definitely took advantage of the system.
