Staten Island RB Augustus Edwards up to 9 offers

I respectfully disagree.

But, with Gus and this situation, we need all the information on this before we can pass judgement fully on what exactly to do and how to react.
I think "judging in these matters is almost impossible unless you see what happened. QWe are speaking about raging hormones in young people. Yes they need to abide by laws but look at the number of adults that think with their genitalia Even Big time generals seem to have difficulty and a large number of presidents of this country have a history of indiscretion.

He said he wants to visit three more schools (including Rutgers) before signing day.

I haven't seen any comments from him since Shafer was named HC.

I really hope he comes here but, considering the current number of RB's at Rutgers and the current number of RB's here, Gus ending up at Rutgers wouldn't be crazy.

Wouldn't be crazy but I could also see Gus starting RB for Syracuse as a redshirt freshman which ain't to shabby.

Absolutely. If he wants to make it to the NFL, he shouldn't worry about competition, because if he can't beat out the rest of the RB's for carries, then he isn't going to go to the NFL anyway.

I think with the staff in place, Gus sticks, possibly/probably Laray as well. I do know the RB situation at Rutgers is a big part of why Carter is visiting there.

I like this kid and I like the Rochester connection. Have only heard positives about him from some friends. I hope he ends up in Orange n Blue.

That rubs me the wrong way so bad because I know if Carter flips over to Rutgers based on RB promises he'll end up being disappointed. I guarantee that within 1 or 2 years there he'll be playing defense. They'll recruit over him at RB in the next cycle - which I also guarantee.

They promise kids all sorts of positions only to change them once they're on campus. The list is long. Shoot they told Thomas from Endicott that he could be a Rb. They switched him to D then he quit.

We did the same with Doug Hogue I believe. Obviously the old regime, but if a kid wants to compete for the position that they love that is on them. hopefully Carter knows his talent level and makes the right choice for himself.

If I was recruiting against Rutgers I would have 2 maps in my pocket, one showing all the wonderful Mid-West cities you'll visit, the other showing all the East Coast cities you'll visit playing football.

Not quite the same thing. Doug Houge went 2 years as a RB and somewhat produced. Then a quality staff showed up and advised him his best position was at LB. He took the move. He didn't have to. He's in the league now.

Look we've moved kids around as schools do but Rutgers does it as a ploy to get kids to sign. Right now they're telling him what he wants to here .. and they'll move him in August or spring 2014, bet on it.

Not exactly. Hogue played RB for GRob. Marrone switched him to D.

Well, he sure is a hot commodity now... I do not recall Pitt actively pursuing Edwards, but this fan sure is, lol.

Hail 2 Pitt@Hail_Pitt
@GodsGiftGUS Not only does coach Chryst have a rep 4 developing NFL talent at RB so does this #Pitt program. Could be the next @CutonDime25

@GodsGiftGUS Any chance you would consider a #PITT visit. It's a top 25 recruiting class and we need a stud like u to close it out.

Any chance this is a recruiting violation?

I don't know all the rules, but I think it is likely a violation, but nobody will do anything about it.

NCAA still reviewing Raymond's waiver app so they can make a decision prior to the start of the 2012 season . . . oh wait . . . .

I hear it is looking good for Raymond.

If you look at a lot of the other stuff people are tweeting at these guys (even that they've been RTing), they're all ignored violations. Even a "you'd look good in orange and blue" and "don't let Cuse down" is a violation. Impossible to police, though. We're all essentially boosters in the eyes of the NCAA.

Whoever @orange44pride is... he's doing the same exact thing. And has been doing so for a while. And probably needs to stop.

skip the map, show him the cheerleaders

If you're an alumnus, have ever held season tickets or have ever donated money to SUAD then you're a booster... no "essentially" about it.
