Stonehouse

Yeah just the one terrible punt and the other one seemed bad due to 25 yard in penalties
He will be fine

The other two also looked like they were shanked… unless the punter intends the ball to go straight sideways off his foot with almost no lift which would definitely be an innovative approach. Also one of the punts got a definite 10 yard or so roll.
As a long time not very good golfer, I know shanks.

All of Stonehouse’s were shanks. Bad direction, no elevation or hang time.

Very unlike him.

Camera did a close up on him on his third punt and he looked like a bundle of nerves awaiting the snap.

He's got one solid college season under his belt. I don't think that whole season was a fluke. I'm chalking it up to a bad day at the office yesterday and not hitting the panic button. Even his bad day was better than Max last season.

Isn’t the idea to get the ball to roll. That’s not a criticism in my opinion. one of the other ones the commentators called it a shank, that’s the impression that was left.

One thing I will note is that he did have a propensity to kick some duds at Mizzou. Looking at his game log he had 3 games in the first half of the season where he averaged less than 40 yds a punt. Far too many 20 something yard punts mixed in with some boomers. Season to date - Van Marburg was even with him at this point last year.

Good to know. I appreciate the detailed research. Something to keep an eye on for sure as the schedule gets stronger and field position could become a big factor.

He was Stone cold last night lets hope he gets it together as he is a talent

Definitely a talent. Was surprised he had so many poor kicks at Mizzou though... hopefully there is nothing to that as most all were in big games

Send me some swing videos. I’ll help ya out… you’re too good a person to struggle with the best game in the world

I felt like his punt yesterday was a forced directional punt, potential a direction he doesn’t normally go and he shanked it. The other two I felt were better but low punts that don’t work well outside
