I recently accepted a new position within my company managing hundreds of people. I have no plan yet. Looking for guidance from my direct reports to determine what our priorities need to be. Just because someone is an internal hire it doesn't mean they are aware of everything yet.As another POV I actually think that can be a good thing in leadership (as someone who has been in executive leadership roles for awhile now). Having concrete plans sometimes puts us in a box and forces us to want to be right rather than DO right (if that makes sense). Having a good plan but willing to listen to changes and updates is a positive... but again just a rosy colored POV lol. Being a true leader is about listening first.
