could be.Wondering if it's just bad wording here, and the his he is referring to is the friend. So keep an eye on the top dog in whatever department his friend was hired into.
This is the main reason why the price of college tuitions have increased so dramaticallyA friend of mine was in an admin position at one of the schools at SU and was privy to some salaries. It was eye opening at how cavalier some people were with money for their staff, quite a few "do little, paid a lot" jobs.
Donna also was a big fan of Lykes.

Anyone with a relationship to the previous Chancellor should be shown the door, and start with a clean slate. Anyone who actually didn't like the direction the previous Chancellor took should stay.when is the chancellor announcement today? and would like to hear scenarios that play out?
Haynie --> inside hire. does he bring the baggage of the past admins with him? Does that mean it's more likely to be an internal hire like Lyke or will he have the chops to go outside and bring in better?
Outside --> if new person outside of the family, Will they clean house further? Based on this drama, if it were me I would be taking a hard look at all these Kent people floating around and some heads would roll. Does that bring a whole lot of new faces that are more likely to bring in outside hires for all our sports positions.
Lot of whatifs...
They said no…I'm kind of hoping for jordan.

They've now gotten rid of the coach at the center of the Title IX lawsuit. If I were HL, I'd be more concerned what, if anything, pitt does to throw her under the bus in that case. Of course, doing so is probably bad for them in terms of liability so they're probably stuck as defendants together...Wonder if this will be brought out in discovery for the Pitt lawsuits.

no, she hired him (they worked together at Eastern Michigan when she was AD there. Then he went to Umass.but didnt she extend him?
No, signed in 2023 for 6 years at $800,000 a year so he’s just half way through his contract, it appears.but didnt she extend him?
I have seen firsthand how colleges and universities crying poverty can always open up the checkbook for an administrator (always someone's buddy) even if they have to create a brand new position and "role" to accommodate them. Lyke appears to be an "excellent" example.A friend of mine was in an admin position at one of the schools at SU and was privy to some salaries. It was eye opening at how cavalier some people were with money for their staff, quite a few "do little, paid a lot" jobs.
$200,000,000+ investment by Pitt for non-revenue sports like wrestling and volleyball. That’s insaneThe Pitt coaches salaries, particularly Capel, are a problem, but it sounds like Victory Heights was the real financial fiasco.
