Sometimes you reach for the brass ring. Right now is it. SU you needs to make the right choice. This is critical. It’s defcon 5. SU’s position is critical. 2030 is not far away. The university needs to make a big splash in all the revenue sports, not just next year but clearly need to show sustained excellence in the next 3/4 years. Super conference are coming and clearly SU will be in the MAC at best if significant strides aren’t made. I’m 80 years old so I probably 50/50 chance won’t get to see it through, but that’s not important. However, it’s important to my family. I’ve been going to SU FB sin1954 with my dad and grandfather. Season tickets since 1940’s. I had hoops tix since I was 18. I’ve seen the hood the bad and the ugly. This is about as ugly as it gets hoops. It is my feeling Fran is the right guy. No crystal ball here, it’s up to the university to put up or shut up. Simple d the right thing!!! Out.

HR complaints happen all the time. I’ve worked for, and with, many people who had HR complaints lodged against them.

Some were legit. Others not so much.

Clearly this was leaked to sabotage her AD candidacy. To suggest that Wildhack should have resigned when Kent hired her is ludicrous.

He is leaving this year though. I’d have accelerated things if I was layered w this awful scenario.

I do think you can be too loyal - if leaving a company forces changes that benefit the company in the long run, it can be a good decision. That doesn’t appear to be the case here - it looks like JW was exactly the right amount of loyal to Syracuse University.

Anyone still stuck on the hiring of Red and thinking it was all his fault is volunteering that they are clueless and not worth paying attention to at all. Prior to today I thought he did a good but unspectacular job - now I’d consider spearheading an effort to build a statue of him in front of the Dome for saving Syracuse athletics. (It’s premature for that - I’m still expecting the incompetent buffoons in the administration and board will find a way to screw this up anyway, since it’s what they do best. But at least John made it a lot harder for them, now they’ve gotta put in serious effort to muck this up).

It’s tough when you know a new chancellor will want their own person. If you care about the school, you go out the right way and let them do a proper search. Last thing we needed was Lyke as an interim.
