Summer Sessions 2025

Looks like JJ with a bit of a hand injury. Also what is it that every offseason update there is a picture of JJ having someone drive past him lol.

What? Have you no respect for tradition?

Maybe it is a (not so) subtle way to temper expectations, since we actually have some level of excitement building?

George vs Carlos, Kingz vs Bell, Soph Donnie vs Frosh Donnie definitely should be the big 3 obvious positive differences that are can’t miss.

Obviously the other storylines like a defensive presence in the middle, JJ being a completentary piece vs high usage, depth and athleticism with the youngsters as well will play out hopefully as we want them to.
Having a pure PG is going to raise everyone's play. We've been missing a true PG since Ennis.

I thought I only had to care about SU Football. Well, after a year hiatus these videos and pics seem to herald an Orange Phoenix rising from...
Anyway, it's getting all tingly again down there (at center court).
Gotta make the dance.

Kingz defending Donnie.

I've been thinking about this since I first watched this video shortly after it was posted. There are a number of things that are encouraging about this video. First, the effort of Kingz. This dude is coming in as an upper classman. It sure looks like he is setting a tone. And, by the reaction to his effort, the team is buying in. I am sure he is not alone in setting that tone, but this team has been so passive defensively the past few years it makes me sick. The second thing is the team reaction to that effort. I believe the first person we see react after the ball is knocked away is George, and he is all in at the end. The S&C coach is teaching DAWG and Kingz looks like a dawg on D. I'm all over the place on this post, but bottom line, I am really encouraged by the effort and the team camaraderie.

What's the big deal? That's how Bell and Justin Taylor used to defend. You guys just forgot :)
With the ability to palm the ball now, it’s almost impossible to stop good offensive players.

Autry said when Kingz signed that he thought he could be a knockdown defender. He’s now a year removed from ACL surgery and RED felt he was still a little tentative last season. Kingz is going to surprise a lot of people. He has a strong body to go with an intense game.

Ha. Did he say, a knockdown defender and a lockdown 3 point shooter? ;)
