SWC75

SWC is Steve in Syracuse, right? I have been listening to his calls to various radio shows both local and national, for more than 25 years. My first recollection of his work, were his calls to Tony Kornheiser on the Big Hen (620 WHEN) on my drives back to campus from my internship at welch Allyn in 1998. As a poster, he is unrivaled for his post game upside/downside reports but my all time favorites are the letters to his father (now friends and family) regarding the latest edition of the Orange. Get well soon SWC.

He’s a legend. Thanks for sharing that.
One of the things I will miss most with Steve gone is his recap of Old Scout reports on old Syracuse games.
For those of us who were youngsters back then ,The Old Scout Sunday morning recap of the game in the Harold Journal, were the highlight of the week.

It was great. I didn’t always respond to them but I enjoyed them. I value history. We used to have some good back and forths about old school/new school. He was the best.

Even though I lived through that period, the game evolved, and 2 platoon football made the game better.
Players were able to play their natural position more.
