Symir Injury...

Did anyone see what happened? Wifi in the Dome sucked tonight, and I couldn't see any twitter updates.

Smashed his head into Duke guy’s chin. Quit a bit of blood. Somehow the Duke guy was unfazed.

He needs stitches, and I am guessing it is more than a couple. I think he had to go to the hospital for those.

“I just kind of drove baseline, pushed my head back and I got hit in the head,” Torrence said later, a bandage covering the stitches. “I was definitely dizzy to start. Kind of needed help getting up.”

Torrence said he is currently in concussion protocol.

“My head’s pounding,” he said. “I feel dizzy and a little sensitive to light.”

SU coach Jim Boeheim was asked, post-game, for an update on Torrence.

“He’s hurt,” Boeheim said. “I doubt if he’ll be back for awhile.”

While it didn't impact the majority of the season, the poor management of the roster now is very ugly with both the starting center and backup PG out.

They are out because of the poor management of the roster?

Should the back up to the back-up point guard have played more in anticipation of this?

That's his season unfortunately, there's only 3 games left..That's too bad, I like him at the point and his D. Thought he should have played more, maybe next year.
I think he could be back for the Miami game. Concussion protocol more than likely.

We came into the season with one backup guard and one backup forward. A banged up 5th year center and essentially a redshirt frosh. We absorbed the loss of Jesse given we had depth. We had nothing past Symir at guard.

So it exposes running such a thin roster now having zero backup guards outside a walk on D2 kid. We have been lucky to not have more injury issues expose that depth.

Jumped into the chin of Banchero and received a cut on his forehead. Potentially a concussion.
Looked like he needed stitches for the gash but would not be surprised if he has a concussion.

OK, now I understand what you were saying. I expressed concerns that 3 guys for two positions at both forward and guard were not enough myself before the season.

I think the "I still feel dizzy and sensitive to light..." means there are no surprises.

He's is sensitive to light because he's got a concussion and his pupils are dilated.

I think you are being generous about absorbing the loss of Jesse, tonight and ND being great examples of how much we miss him

I think no matter who you are if u r to your down to your 3rd pt guard and 3rd center playing significant minutes, you might be in trouble? Just sayin!

I’m still trying to figure out how Banchero gave Symir head stitches & a potential concussion with his chin… & have simply nothing happen to him. No blood, no grabbing at his face/chin, no mouth issues, no concussion, it literally did nothing to him, dude just kept on playing.

P.S. it’s obviously ‘roids;)

I don’t know, I can see a family resemblance between Banchero and this guy
