Already being worked on.I can't imagine the NCAA will allow him to play immediately.

It would undermine Syracuse's doctor so I'd be shocked if they do that. Sitting out is usually waived when a kid transfers back home due to family health issues, so I'd be shocked if they grant this.
It would also set precedent and doesn't send a good message either.

Let's arrange a full trade. We want their doctor in return.Congrats, on Tucker not being able to ruin Steven's medically qualified career.
by the way, how about SU fully releasing Steven knowing he would likely end up on a team who we play next year. Kudos! Granted it's what Steven deserves, and our doctor messed this up. But, I only say this to bring up how much Miami $ux! Kids deserve to move freely in situations like this, and quite frankly at places like Ole Miss, where their coach is fired right as their season is about to begin. Why not? He's essentially been released already.

Maybe our AD will attest to his being medically eligible to play based on the recommendations of 5-6 specialists.he's a transfer and they make transfers sit out. thats why. waivers are hard to come by.
Though I haven't followed any medically DQd transfer before so I guess I don't know what they'll do, I just can't see them allowing him to transfer without sitting out.
Nah.. let's just trade the "doctors" and keep Steven. We'll have a steady stream of medically qualified, proven players, that will never end.Let's arrange a full trade. We want their doctor in return.

My understanding is that, worst case scenario, Steven would red shirt this year. WMU's compliance staff is already diligently working on a waiver. It truly is amazing how "on the ball" WMU's administrative staff has been. Far cry from what we're used to.It would undermine Syracuse's doctor so I'd be shocked if they do that. Thanks!Best wishes to the Clark clan...sad to see him go and hope he thrives...this should have worked out better...
I'm pretty sure the we had a kid that was kicked off the team went in played in the SEC the very next season. This is a player seeking to transfer while still eligible and under an active athletic scholarship.
If you're talking about Qaadir he sat out last season under NCAA transfer rules. And he was kicked off the team with scholarship revoked. He still had to sit out.

Not sure what you mean by "engage".Cubs, best of everything to you and family. We'll see you in 2018! I know you mentioned the football staff was very supportive but did they do anything to help engage with WMU? Understand if you want to keep that confidential.

There is a process, and rules, that have to be followed. The football staff made sure Steven did things by the book, and helped him in every way they could. Truthfully, SU should consider themselves VERY lucky to have Coach Babers, and should do everything within their power to keep him there. Because, honestly, I think he's SU's last chance at a viable coach for some time. SU's admin blows this, and runs him off, and things will suck for a long time.Just wonder if the WMU interest came out of the blue or if the Syracuse staff reached out on Steven's behalf or helped to facilitate the offer.
