Spoke with my WR friend yesterday. Actually they called me with the news. They are not concerned. They trust Fran and they said he will put the best product forward for the Tenn. game. He is not sitting there worried and neither are the other players. Their goal is to improve on this season. They also know if for some reason they can not do that, then 2 years they will be a playoff team. They really are all in.

precisely. Can't wait to see Gill dominate too. He puts in so much work on his own with footwork and speed training. It's impressive. He's going to star.

I know Fran legit thinks they will have a shot at a national title within three years.

Crazy to think that Coach P's decision to start McNabb over Kevin Johnson and Keith Downing wasn't made until like a week before that season opener at UNC in 1995.

I think the board may be doing the thing that the board does with Carney. On the other hand, I also think that Fran is crazy enough to run a true freshman out there if he's the goods. Will be interesting, and hopefully fun, to see play out.

If there was ever an opportunity for a Freshman to breakthrough this is it. By all accounts Carney is one stout mofo. Started since 9th grade, MVP on defense and offense in championship game, threw for enough yardage to circle the earth. Carney is steeped in football in the same way George Costanza was draped in velvet. Glad Mr. C in the QB room.

I think Mccord showed Williams what and how he needs to prepare for games and where he should be looking to throw the ball. it truly helps having a great mentor.

Until your in the game at game speed and have the quick thought process and the eyes to see the play develop and the arm strength and touch to get the ball there it doesn't matter who mentored ya

Well, yea, losing 6 of our top 8 tacklers from am already poor defense falls under that “moniker”. Losing a true freshman who started at corner is a loss as well. Then there’s Diggs who was a great leader on that side of the ball.

Well, yea, losing 6 of our top 8 tacklers from am already poor defense falls under that “moniker”. Losing a true freshman who started at corner is a loss as well. Then there’s Diggs who was a great leader on that side of the ball.

And my point is that a losing record in 25 isn’t a death knell for 2026 and beyond.
