Syracuse QB in 2025

When we went with Collins it made me feel that Fran felt confident in Williams. Sure there will be a competition but there is no way Fran is going to let 2 unproven QB’s fight it out unless he feels the one on the roster will be ready to take over the position. Actually, if he’s decent, offense should be fine. Defense is the side of the ball i’m terrified about. We lost our best players and not one has been replaced.
Dline will be better. I think we have solid young talent in the secondary. LB is what has me worried. I hope that they move David O there as he has a nose for the ball.

My worry is who plays corner outside of true freshmen? Kerr is at one spot. Who covers the other spot and who rotates in? McDaniels?

A solid DLine is the key to our LBs stepping up. If the DL can get push and allow our LBers to fill - there will be progress.

I focus a lot on our DL. A lot of big runs against us this year were a result of our DL not getting a push into their slant/fill/stunt and simply allow a new LOs to be established a 1/2 yard - 1 yard up field.

It’s really hard to read a play when you’re seeing your teammates nameplate coming back at you.

Carney will redshirt, he said himself. Tough to be sold on either of Collins or Jakhari as neither has played yet but probably going to be a long year regardless and hopefully between the two of them we can find a legit P4 starter.

6 wins would be a miracle
That was if McCord came back. Luke never said that publicly. That was all based on Kyle’s decision. He has a shot to win the job and he’s going for it.

Until your in the game at game speed and have the quick thought process and the eyes to see the play develop and the arm strength and touch to get the ball there it doesn't matter who mentored ya
Actually it does. Being in the game and seeing things at game speed is essential to being a good player, but that does not mean having a good mentor doesn’t matter. This is a case where both things are true.

And you know this how? McNabb wasn't McNabb until RS frosh season. With strong developmental coaching, players tend to improve as they progress year to year.
His rear told him. :D

Diggs, wax, Barron, cinco, Lewis are the 5 we will miss the most. Watch Fran’s presser about Barnes- “did we win without him? Ok then”
David O backed up Diggs in 2024 and will hopefully be ready to be a key edge guy next year. Hopefully, Caden Brown can also contribute.

In the LB rotation, Heard and McDonald have experience, for better or worse. I’d like to see Moulrie-Goddard move up from specials here. I think Deslauries will play right away too.

Martin had a good bowl game. He might be a security blanket across from Kerr, who the staff clearly loves but hopefully can grow out of being so raw. McDaniel getting rotation would be a great sign too.

Safety is a question mark. Is Duce, Buxton, and Grant the answer? Can Duce step it up? Who are the rotation pieces.

Is there any way Ewers can be next year's McCord? Texas is itching to start Manning. Ewers would be perfect here

McDonald is top slow

Isn’t happening for 100 reasons but I’ll list 3 of them. 1. Ewers is being offered by some schools for 6 million. 2. Talks are he’s gonna declare for draft. 3. Even if he somehow decided too come back to college he would pick a blue blood.

Not confident in any of the options for next year. Williams got zero game experience, Collins ended the season third string, and I know people are high on carney but im not sure if he is a plug and play guy... add in all the quietness on oline transfers and i am quite concerned...
