Tampering

Violin Player GIF

Coaches need to either start outing the other coaches that are doing it or just be quiet. These half measures of coming out but not dropping names isn’t helping matters.

And that’s not directed at your post Bees, I’m just saying I wish these guys would out those who are doing it.

I know you are pro NIL but I’m surprised you are pro tampering.
I'm not pro tampering. Incredibly unsavory.

But I am pro getting proper alignment to the player's worth, and it appears tampering is part of what needs to happen.

I'll never feel sympathy for the coach who has to deal with a harder job because a kid that's gotten the Hell beaten out of him on a weekly basis for that coach's benefit gets a little better slice of the pie. I just won't.

You’re speaking out of both sides of your mouth. Your first paragraph does not line up with the other two.

Agree 100%.

I’ll be honest, I don’t even know what the “tampering” rules are at this point.

But if what transpired was against the rules, then out the offender by name. At least do it to the league office if you don’t want to do it via the media. Enough protecting the profession or whatever bullschlit code they follow.

Man up and solve the problem. Otherwise stop whining.

yeah are there rules or is it just unethical and not looked at favorably by other coaches. How else would some of these kids know their value unless they were talking to people beforehand? I’m sure coaches or somebody is letting them know to try and lure them away. I guess the school could always try and match it. does anyone think that the good players are just going to jump into the portal not having a plan? I bet both duce and carter knew where they were going before they even entered the portal. They just waited to make it look cleaner.

recruiting never ends at anytime I guess

These two things don't match up.

You can have NIL without tampering. But your violin post implies you couldn't care less about tampering.

Maybe you look at it as being beaten up for somebody else's sake, but players seem to thrive on the competitive battles. A lot of former college football players (unpaid, except for maybe a scholarship) say those were the greatest times of their lives. Don't weep too hard for the student-athletes who choose to play the games.

I took it as he couldn't care less about Hafley whining about tampering.
Yes, don't care about Hafley (or any coach) complaining about tampering.

There is something to be said for that, for sure.

Option 1 should be to punch them in the face on the field.

If not possible, then out them publicly.

Everyone with integrity should band together and blackball these scrubby ass vultures.

It’s like they have this weird unspoken code that they can’t violate or something. Only a matter of time til someone who doesn’t care blows it all up, so to speak.

Agreed. Blow them all in. Shouldn’t be allowed to talk to them unless they’re in the portal.

You don’t talk to another team’s players about switching teams right after the game on the field, smh.
