Taurean Thompson

Hats off to TT.
Of,the scenario,is he wants school A, mom wants school B, and not school A, and he is sticking to his guns, that is a lot to ask from a young man that still lives at home.
Let's recognize and appreciate the personal fortitude that takes, regardless of how it turns out.

What's up with your sources? Are they still saying Orange?
His sources so far feel like this

I'm telling you he's coming to Cuse. There is a correctable academic issue going on.
If this is to be the case, can't he still commit while the issue is being corrected? Or, could the school be asking him not to announce until it is corrected on the off chance that its not? (Don't want Diagne situation again)

That makes a HECK of a lot more sense than most other guesses as to why the long delay. I've said it before, but I just don't buy that the delay is simply due to a power struggle between TT and his mom. There just has to be more to it than that, right? I certainly hope so or this really would be incredibly bizarre.

"Well, the Spartans are reportedly in the top three for Thompson and if his mom doesn’t want him to play for Jim Boeheim and Syracuse, the other two options are MSU and Seton Hall.

Seton Hall is currently at scholarship capacity with the possibility of Isaiah Whitehead withdrawing his name from the NBA Draft and returning for another year. That would mean the Pirates would have to cut down two scholarship players with his return and just one if he decides to leave.

Michigan State offered in April and jumped into his top three. That’s always a good sign, especially since he hasn’t even visited East Lansing yet. If Tom Izzo can get Taurean and his mother to campus soon, that could be an ultimate game-changer.

You hate to see a kid not follow his heart and pick the school that’s best for him, but truthfully, he doesn’t yet know what Michigan State has to offer him academically and athletically. Playing for one of the best coaches in college basketball, a Hall of Famer, and for the chance to win a national title also helps.

The Spartans need depth in the post, meaning Thompson could get some major playing time right away. We will see what happens with the four-star power forward’s recruiting process, but time is running out for him to make a decision on where to start classes in the fall."

Taurean Thompson’s mom doesn’t want 4-star PF at Syracuse

If he was going to go to MSU I think he would have announced the week after his visit. Does anyone really know if there is any truth about the mom's feelings for JB and SU?
