Yeah someone indicated at the start of the season that Gilbert's offenses didn't highlight TEs as much. That seemingly was reflected this season. Not sure if this is because he is more of a 4 receiver set kind of guy when he has guys that can execute his offense or not but TE is not a receiver in his offense that is for sure.

Benson is an effective target. If you need a second TE use Elmore.

We didnt use the TE because we needed the blocking and the QBs struggled to throw to them when they were open.

I am extremely grateful for my time at Syracuse University these last three and a half years. I am truly honored to have played for such a historically great program with such amazing fan support. I am appreciative of Coach Babers and Coach Reno Ferri for taking a chance on me four years ago and giving me the opportunity to represent Syracuse University. I have met so many amazing people here and created friendships that will last a life time. I am extremely grateful for all my teammates who battled through this adversity this season and did not stop fighting until the end. To all those who supported me through the highs and lows over the last 4 seasons, I cannot express my gratitude deeply enough. Although I am unsure of my next step, I will not be returning to Syracuse for the 2021 season. However, I will always be part of the Syracuse Orange family. Thank you!

People have been posting that Marek Dolezaj probably won’t be back since his freshmen year. I buy none of it.

Guys are going to leave with the new transfer rule. The two on o were a redshirt junior and senior. I could see s. Johnson. Thompson-bishop, Hendricks transfer. Maybe a couple other wr. D we may loose a couple.

Yes. Appreciate that he took the high road here. I will remember him for how hard he played, how much he hustled and played hurt for his school.

I feel that Gilbert wanted to go a different direction with te. Look at Morris 6’5 210, benson. We/te hybrid. You still have Maher and mang as traditional te.
