...without it, we would have left the BE with an overall losing record of 75-76, rather than what we are now, which is 76-75 (according to the broadcast today). Not exactly stellar, but I'd hate to leave this conference with an all-time sub-.500 record.

It's a little thing, but feels important to me. Also puts into perspective how bad the last decade has been, compared to how good we were in the BE in the 90's.

3 - 25 just wrecked that record, even with some mediocre seasons in the early 2000s.

Insane that a third of our losses in 22 years came from four years of one little engine that couldn't.

Another reason to be thankful -- it is a long time until our bowl game. Tone on this board will be so much better coming off a win for 7-5.

Plus, a bowl will be happy to have SU coming off a 5-1 finish, believing the record could have been better.

Another impossible dream that can be attributed to that little engine: he elevated Rutgers into the B1G. No Greg Robinson = No Greg "Miracle Man" Schiano.

That's a real stretch. DMA didn't change.

2002-2011 we stunk in BE play. Only 2004 and 2010 were above 2 Ws. That ten year period we went 17-52 which averages out to 1.7 Ws per season. From 1991-2001 we went (11 seasons) 54-21 or 4.9 Ws per season. Almost exact opposites.
