THANK YOU JORDAN CORNETTE!!

Thank you, thank you a million times!! Finally a broadcaster questioning the hall of famer and asking the question we have been screaming all year?
I laughed when he mentioned KR playing more twice

While this is true...and we seemed out-coached on the game considering NC State being shorthanded, it's also true that these announcers were trying to root NC State home.

That was pretty appalling. They were notably flatlined when we made a play and giddy when it came from the visitor.

I thought they were fair. BTW the refs sucked. The out of bounds call that went against us and calling Quincy for a foul when he got elbowed in the face and knocked to the ground were criminal.

We were short handed as well

Not near the same thing. They have played all year and are N.C. States best players. Woody doesn't play much and Sid, who i do believe is a potential difference maker for us, hasn't played all year (other than a spot at the opening game).

Fine on Woody. And I know the Sid thing is the JB party line, but until there's any evidence he's going to play this year - and i'm not sure there's any indication that he will – that's more a long-term situation that a good coach would have had time to prepare for.

Woody will be in the rotation.

There’s never time to prepare for losing one of your best and most crucial players.

Look, I admire the loyalty, but...come on.
Sidibe getting hurt was absolutely devastating.

If he was healthy we wouldn’t have jackwagons on here begging for more minutes for inexperienced and limited talents like Edwards and Braswell.

was Sidibe getting injured really a surprise though?

“Begging for minutes for inexperienced”

So should we send them to the G league to get them experience and then bring them back up and give them some run?

Let's be honest. Sidibe himself is a "limited talent."

The underlying problem is a coach who struggles to recruit.

When Sidibe is your upside, that is why you are a mid-pack ACC, NCAA bubble team year in and out.

And when you struggle to adjust to that mediocre player's quite predictable injury, double whammy.

Cuz the only time basketball gets played by Syracuse Basketball scholarship players is in games.

This is a bad take. Sidibe is not a limited talent.

Sidibe was playing so great toward the end of last season after battling through injury issues his frosh season.

Guys like Edwards and Braswell in two years haven’t shown the general aptitude and physical gifts that Sidibe showed in his very first game in Orange

What about the previous 2 seasons?
Your point is that even though he just had an entire healthy season that Boeheim should have known he was going to get hurt in the first game this season and done something differently?

That's flowery optimism based on a limited run. It's Orange gogglery.

Which again, I have no problem with. This is a fan board after all.

But not very realistic, I'm afraid.

He was playing great at the end of last season. A huge reason why we crushed a UNC team that we can never beat because of our lack of talented big men.

Sidibe is good. He’s not Pat Ewing or Hakeem but he proved over the last 10 games or so that he could be a good college center in the Syracuse system.

Sidibe was not why we struggled last year. He was one of the brightest spots to highlight. And if you didn’t see that then you don’t know basketball.

He got us up to average as an ACC center. At his best.

Not only was he not Patrick Ewing or Hakeem, he wasn't Rakeem. Not even close.

Would we be a better team with him? 100% But did any center recruit avoid Syracuse because we had Sid?

Again, don't be silly.

Rakeem wasn’t Rakeem until he was a senior either.

I don’t care what recruits did or didn’t do based on the existence of BS.

I know what I see on the court and I know who I think is talented and who I think is not quite as talented.

We would have SIGNIFICANTLY more wins this season if Sidibe was healthy. I am certain of that.
