The all-inclusive Rutgers dumpster fire thread...

Now their so called Great recruiting class is starting to fall apart. 3 Star DT Jarrod Hewitt decommited today!!:rolling:

Whatever happened to that Huggins kid, who Rutgersal was claiming to be the next Jim Brown?

Currently at Northern Iowa for his senior year. Through 3 games, has 30 yards on 15 carries for a stellar 2.0 yards per carry.

What's interesting is that Rutgers had 3 top 150 4 star recruits in their 2011 class, Huggins being the headliner. And all three transferred out. Marquise Wright ended up at Elon and Miles Shuler the most notable at Northwestern.

wow, what a train wreck. I wonder what the Big Ten ptb think about it considering they're not raking in the NYC TV dough like they thought they would be.

I was listening to the Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton this morning on my way in to work. They talked quickly about Larry Brown and SMU. Then Carton says that it is Larry Brown's third offense and says that Flood at Rutgers is getting a raw deal. Flood was trying to be above board and transparent with his actions to just help one of his players. Is he for real? Flood sent the email from personal email to personal email to be shady. People believe what they want to believe, I guess. I haven't listened to that show much. I like Boomer, because as Carton was trying to say that the kids deserve better than the leadership above Flood, Boomer says "Maybe the kids shouldn't break the law." Anyway, Boomer seems cool, Carton is unlistenable with his voice and the garbage that comes out of his mouth. And yes, I realize he is an SU graduate.

He met with the teacher incognito. Above board my arse. He knew exactly what rule he was breaking.

Carton, an SU alum, knows that keeping Flood at RU is a net positive for Syracuse football. Actually he’s an idiot, so he probably doesn’t, but let’s just pretend this is part of a conspiracy designed by a cabal of on-air personalities who graduated from Newhouse to further push down RU. It’s way more digestible that way.

No, Carton is an idiot who knows his bread and butter is NJ listeners so he is placating them with his nonsense. He vehemently called for Boeheim's head during the Bernie Fine fiasco and again last year when the NCAA announced the violations and sanctions. He may be an SU alum, but he's a career whore and an idiot douchebag.

In looking at their schedule they are staring at 3-9 to 2-10. Sure they could pull an upset but the only two winnable games left on their schedule are Army and Maryland. And the Army game is at West Point.

Flood will probably be fired after the season, but unless they hit a homerun that type of record will be incredibly hard to overcome in a division with Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State and Michigan State and the rest of the conference. Perennial losing seasons would serve that douchebag fanbase right.

Unless they get rid of their AD, what decent coach is going to want to go there? As you said, with the teams in their division, they may never be able to compete, and you have the clusterf**k administration to deal with. Schiano may not even want to go back there.

I'm not sure a coach cares all that much about the administration as long as he's getting paid and money is being put into the program.

I agree, except for coaches that have options. The type of coach that it would require to compete against Ohio State and the rest of their division will not want to be part of what is going on there. An up and coming coach will take the risk to get paid better and have the opportunity to advance his career. However, even that type of coach may not want to go to Rutgers because winning will be so difficult, due to the factors you mentioned in your post. So, who do they have a shot with?
