The all-inclusive Rutgers dumpster fire thread...

Chris Ash is 3-18(0-11)since joining Rutgers, losing B1G games by an average of 31 points. Which game would you guys consider to be his signature win thus far?

-Morgan State 65-0 (currently 0-5)
-Howard 52-14 (finished 2-10 in 2016)
-New Mexico 37-28 (finished 9-4 in the MWC)

I’d probably go with New Mexico because of their gaudy record and New Mexico Bowl win over UTSA last year, but you really can’t discount the shellacking they put on the glorified high school known as Morgan State.

I think it might be Morgan State. That score has a zero that isn't Rutgers'.

I think their game vs Washington this year. Years and years of hope can be delved from that game... only to be squandered as usual by sucking.

Now the Rutgahs fans are rooting for Washington to win the championship so they can say, "We held the National Champs under 40!"

Nevermind the facts, especially that UW eased off the gas pedal. Anyway, whatever they need to keep themselves motivated. The humor is worth it.

These Rutgers fans are out of their mind the way they talk about that game, as if they lost on a last second fg. Washington slept walk through that game and had complete control of it, it was 30-7 until they put up a td in garbage time.

I think your confusing how odds work. This is not a brag.
I'm well aware of how point spreads work. Let me put it this way; Rutgers is a two point underdog against a team I watched earlier this year and thought had to be be the worst major conference team by far. SU is a 22 point dog against a team that's possibly the best team in the country. Yet the delusional Rutgers fans still think that SU will always be irrelevant and can never be as great as the mighty knights. I really wish we still played them ooc.

Just an fyi, your post comes across differently.

I have 2 nieces who attend the University of Illinois. I told them that they better win against Rutgers. One of them replied that if the Illini lost , "I'm not sure I'll be able to face anyone." Even a school like Illinois knows that a loss to RU is as low as you can go.

My family has lots of orange attire.

does anyone else get annoyed at non-medical doctors who go by doctor?

The Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD) was been around since the middle ages (which is also the origin of academical regalia with the funny hats). At that time it was used to recognize the terminal degree awarded in the 4 primary faculties: medicine, law, arts and theology.
The typical PhD requires an additional 4-7 years (or more) of study beyond the bachelor's degree, which is comparable to the time an MD invests in medical school. I think the title is well-earned and not the least bit pretentious.

Coincidentally, this was a topic of discussion on this week's "Car Talk" podcast!
