The all-inclusive Rutgers dumpster fire thread...

@StevePoliti
A home hoops loss to FDU. A football loss to 1-9 UConn. An AD under investigation for lying. Big Ten, here they come!
Ha! When your hometown paper is tweeting things like that, things are definitely not going well.

James' absence gave Savon Huggins an opportunity, but the former top prospect failed to take advantage. Huggins had just 13 yards on seven carries, before giving way to Justin Goodwin, who had six carries for 15 yards and a touchdown.

Rutgers Rvals board believe Flood's firing is a done deal.

This is crazy, the local media here isnt making a big deal about this, yet if you read their board, its as if it is a done deal. I wonder if their board has the scoop?

"RUTGERS SUCKS!!"

Rutgers will not receive a full share of the Big Ten revenue pie for six years.

Some great lines in that article.

And then pay down some serious debt.

That NJ article should 1) dampen the enthusiasm of some posters and 2) heighten the fire in others. Either way, it's going to be interesting offseason for Buttgers.

Let's hope their
offseason
begins this Saturday.

Crazy Eddie O would be a perfect fit for Rutgers. Florida ties and screws the players he has by leaving because he's thinking of himself.

This guy over at NJ.com has it all figured out...

"The offensive line can't put pressure on the Quarterback".

The best line is that Rutgers is getting what it paid for. How do you argue with that point?

There is a thread on their R!vals board where they speculate that "Maryland & Rutgers Must Look Like Fraternal Twins to the Rest of B1G". It is so refreshing to see reality slowly creep into their deluded perception of their program - evidence this post:

"One is not like the other.
Maryland has won 35 National Championships in various sports: 1 MBB, 1 WBB, 8 WFH, 1 FB, 10 M Lacrosse,
11 W Lacrosse and 3 in M Soccer. 12 of those Championships have been since 2000.
At RU we are still thinking about being good at something."

Reality?

One would think, except then there’s a dozen threads openly wondering if Delany and the Big 10 will step in to help fire Flood and then loan them money to offset buyout costs in addition to helping them with the cost to hire a new coach. It’s hard to make this up.

Most delusional fanbase in all sports, they make Uconn fans look like a well thought out knowledgeable group.
