the crane the crane

With the stoppage, are we going to play every game on the road or at a neutral site like 1979? The team rallied together that year and even made a bowl when there were not that many bowls.

1979 was my senior year at SU and I remember playing all home games on the road. It was pretty cool watching the old stadium come down and the Dome go up. It was amazing how quickly the Dome was built. This current project is moving much slower and I have doubts it will be done on time. I keep thinking they will complete two girders a day and could have finished by now. Unfortunately, there are days when none go up. The problem may be waiting on supplies.

I think I read we are going to get an exception

Way too early to tell.

If we're exempt, we're still on schedule.

If we're delayed, it might only screw up the Colgate game.

If the whole football season is cancelled, then we only have to worry about basketball.

Would we give Colgate a home game or take it to Buffalo?

How can you tell? I can't see anything because of the zoomed in status. Although I have been enjoying watching the little ant-men busily going up and down on the crane and doing something around the existing spirals and girders

Walt’s installing a girder and Skylar is up to something...

One reason I love this place is because of all the cool people that contribute here. There are a lot of accomplished folks here, those who are in the midst of accomplishing cool things, and those that are studying to do cool things. There are many great stories here. Thanks for sharing yours, Bill...
Very well said.

Was reported on the news at 6PM yesterday that Dome construction was considered essential.

As the latest girder was nearing placement, you can see where the workers were located (circled in red). At the very end, one of the workers on top of the existing girder was positioned below that girder.

Pretty wild!

I am wondering what the crane on the north side of the dome is doing. It has now moved from near the northwest corner to the middle of the north side.
