not installing a camera for work done fixing a room on campus is far different than a camera for the dome.. If he cant see that value then its pretty short sited.. we are talking hundreds of dollars to get this done. Shoot a ring camera would do it.

Doesn't UV light make all organic matter glow florescently?! That would be a frightening sight to see!!

As stated earlier, Ephesus was interested in becoming a corporate sponsor for SU athletics. There was potential for a partnership that extended beyond this project that would benefit SUAD.

If the contractual changes were deemed unacceptable, that’s fine. But it’s not just fussy fans who like purple lights who are disappointed.

Agree, but if you are going to do something, do it right. I hope they are getting it right with the renovations.
LOL. "Sorry guys, choosing your lighting company is DOING IT WRONG, period. Why don't you close your doors now."

99% of the public will not be disapointed since they have no idea what changed or what it could have been.
That’s not reassuring. That’s like saying chuck roast is amazing to people who never have had a fillet. This isn’t 1980. People know what’s out there

who does? You still have the assumption of what the original contract was going to do bases on the high end possibilities. We never really got a spec and you also have to add that lighting in a dome is far different than what needs to be done in outdoor venues.

so when i read things like this, how much less are we getting..

They ultimately found that the Total Light Control—TLC for LED™ system designed by Musco Sports Lighting to be the best stadium lighting solution on the market. Musco’s TLC for LED™ system technology delivers a level of light control and uniformity that can’t be matched, and is the solution of choice for neighborhood fields, collegiate and professional stadiums and arenas, international speedways, and global events such as the Olympic Games
they have alot of bells and whistles

why did the broncos choose them

But that Ephesus no longer exists. Signify has no such interest. This has turned into one of the most bizarre threads in the history of this forum.

It’s like buying a tv at Best Buy...sure next to All the other TVs the 20k looks great. But once you get home the $2k Is just fine

From the article above:

While some fans have enjoyed following the project from afar via the school’s webcam, Sala said that the outdoor view likely will remain the only way to follow the project. He doesn’t anticipate installing one so that fans can monitor the interior work.

“We aren’t planning on (a webcam) right now,” Sala said. “It’s not something we’ve done on any construction site at Syracuse University. We don’t put web cameras inside the buildings. Not a huge fan.”

has he contacted the visual and designer art department to add panels decorative designs and art to the truss spaces to give it a more dynamic look,---do something with it

Fair enough. Was not aware that was off the table.

Everyone understands the dynamic of why cuse has to switch. Everyone understands that most dome attendees will have no idea what lighting company they are using in the dome.

You all are doing a disservice to yourselves and our fans with these types of arguments:

oh wow, now we cant have cool colors
now we won't get a recruit
who cares as long as the beer flows
other lame, trying to be funny statements

Why is cuse spending this money to upgrade if lighting, video, sound, roof, etc. do not matter? Why should we care as a fanbase? Why should we care as people from, or living in Cuse?

Have some pride in the product, or pride for your city/school. It's not a sin to want the best and to be critical of lapses in what you think could help sell a mediocre at best football program.

I love Cuse, city and school, go to every game like many of you. It isn't a sin to want the best, within reason.

Okay, the lighting isn't happening the way it was planned, probably not due to an error from Cuse, but I hope other things aren't being missed, like the video boards, fan experience, etc.

The truth about this thread is that some of you have waaaaaaaaaaay too much time on your hands. All the sudden we think there are thousands of lighting experts in the community and have an odd way of trying to make your point.

Furthermore, the perception that fans don't care about the upgrades because this lighting contract issue doesn't cause a great deal of concern or heartburn is foolish all the same. Again ..too much time to think on it.

At the end of the day we want to have an elite product on the court and field and a winning culture. We also want to have modern facilities and a very good fan experience. The level to which that is achieved is not going to improve the product or reduce it. The dome is a landmark and the "dump" that it is attracted a ton of great crowds this year despite a not so great on field/court product. The upgrades that are slated may not make the Dome the sexiest place to watch a game in the country. It may not even be top 5 but with the improvements slated it will be a huge step up for an iconic place to watch and play college sports.
