the crane the crane

I think if AC is not installed by September that new dome wil be an oven in early season games. The air handlers will no longer be able to exhaust enough heat from inside nor bring in enough fresh air from outside. Whether it will be worse than before is hard to determine, will really depend on how hot it is in Sept.
Ac is 2022.

I’d like to think with doors open, and all the “Windows” around the upper level open it might help. If the concourse doesn’t open up, I can’t help but think how cool it would be to blow out a couple spots between the bumpouts and put in some roll up doors for and open concept.

This may be old news to some... I always check in via General - NEW STADIUM EXPERIENCE.
If you click right on the words in top left of the video window it takes you straight to YouTube and a live chat room. That might be a fun place for us if there’s EVER a day that there’s a ton going on?

There’s no way the crown truss is going to be done by the end of January. I doubt it will be close to finished by March. We’ve watched how long it’s taken to do what they have completed. If the weather is bad it might delayed even further.

Not that I have any special insight or inside information, I just remind you that most projects of any scale require most of the work to be "completed out of sight". Meaning, the work on the Dome itself is now assembly work. The system is in place, the crew know what they are doing and the remainder will likely move faster (when they work) than they have since the start. Also, the crew has done steel work in bad weather, they know what they are doing and they can work around much of the bad weather, as well as the fact that the plan generally includes X scheduled time off (these guys are like we are, they want time to enjoy their lives, too) as well as expected lost time due to weather.

Again, not attacking your thoughts and perceptions, just offering a hopeful outlook.

GO ORANGE!

Going to be an interesting three months. At one point I heard there was a possibility that much of the existing seating would need to be removed and staged during the dismantling of the existing roof. Will be strange to see obsolete, worn benches reinstalled over the summer.

that’s a very interesting tidbit...

The new seating will create havoc, chaos, and mayhem, I predict. Yet it is desperately needed.

They could replace bench seating with plush massage recliners, find a way to improve the sight lines from every seat, and there would be havoc, chaos, and mayhem on this board. Nostradamus, you're not! ;)

I’d like to see one reinstalled in my cave!

Heat would not be dissipated by simply static open windows or doors, without the dome being pressurized thus forcing hot air out and replacement by intake of cooler air no cooling would be accomplished, and heat would continue to build up internally. They may have some alternate plan for this, I just have no idea what.

I’m not saying this is the same, but isn’t it?
In any well ventilated roof you have intake vents, and exhaust vents. Wouldn’t the fresh air replace the rising stagnant?

Bob Menery doing color commentary on the play by play would be fitting. Actually, perfect.

Also, we brought the kids to go to see Lights on the Lake not long ago and they were convinced they saw Rudolph's nose (the blinking red light at the top of Walt) when we were on 690. This was different than other red lights in the sky because it was up way higher than others... per them.

Of course, my wife and I completely went along with it. Was great. Thanks Walt.

No excuses for not working tomorrow for Walt and the crew of HH. Weather is perfect - partly to sunny skies with a high of 49. Friday a shower at 8 and 11 A.M. other wise cloudy at 46 degrees. It would be very nice to see some spiral steel go up and the box girder sitting in Walt's yard as well - if that is the girder that's supposed to go up next which I think it would be or it wouldn't be placed there. I also hope they are continuing to work towards the Live Cam across from the yard.

Aren't your kids all in their 20s Rocco?

Ha, no. That would be some top notch persuasion if they still believed at that point.

All under 8.
