Yes. Give the angle of the connection on end of box girder it would appear the one sitting in the yard is coming towards Irving. We’ll see what happens.I see a collar has been added to one of the spiral steel columns in the Irving storage area. And some of the crew is standing on the box girder there. I think that spiral, based on its length, is going up on the Irving Ave side of the northwest box girder complex. Then, if they continue with their normal approach, they will use the box girder to extend the top rail to the new standalone spiral. Then, they will add spiral columns on both sides of the first one to go up today to complete the arrowhead (and the 3 arrowheads that hold up the top rail in the northwest diagonal corner.
I assume the same things will be happening today in the northeast corner. It looks like they are in open competition with each other at this point...
Anyway, it should be a banner day for crane enthusiasts.

Dudes - use the spoiler alert feature.Yes. Give the angle of the connection on end of box girder it would appear the one sitting in the yard is coming towards Irving. We’ll see what happens.
Criticizing a thread about construction work on the Dome and the crane in a thread clearly titled, "the crane the crane" is... well... weird.
Tomcat - agreed they were putting the collar on yesterday afternoon after the work on the installed spiral steel column nearest Irving Ave. Things should get more interesting if it's going up on the Irving Ave side. There are also two trailers waiting to be unloaded. Can't really tell what is on the first one and the second is not in view.I see a collar has been added to one of the spiral steel columns in the Irving storage area. Bill isn't breaking any rules of the forum with his posting. You have free will and choice to read or not read posts of any poster on this site. If anyone's posting causes you agitation then I suggest you either put them on ignore or don't read their posts.Kinda missing the point. My observation was that the poster was actually posting that nothing was happening. That's is "newsworthy" as posting that it's still dark out at midnight. Come on, you guys are not that obtuse. And to CL, I open his threads because he may sometime actually post something is going on...or have pictures. My only point was (and it was clear) reading a post that said nothing happening was boring. If I'm wrong and he is the the threads version of Mr Excitement, I apologize.

Agreed. I think both truckloads featured back stay steel. But the first also had a bunch of the white fence/rail things that get put on top of the box girders. It looks like the first truck went to the Hendricks Field storage location to unload. From its brownish appearance, perhaps it's additional iron, etc. relative to the backstay?
Just in time!Agreed. I think both truckloads featured back stay steel. But the first also had a bunch of the white fence/rail things that get put on top of the box girders. It looks like the first truck went to the Hendricks Field storage location to unload.

The second trailer just exited Hendricks. Not much going on although the crew has been examining the spiral steel column just in front of the construction trailer parallel to Walt for most of the day a very important column evidently or they are making sure the collar and other attachments to lift it are very secure.Agreed. For future reference: Inject a little humor and people will be less likely to think you're a jerk. LikeSuggest you back up and read. I simply said it was boring (his posts..the ones about nothing going on). I never said I was agitated, and I am not, well maybe a bit by the people jumping into this making something out of nothing. Is he your son or something? Geez...
No pics today? I loved the play by play, thank you. All that was missing was joel marreiniss climbing the invisible ladderThe second trailer just exited Hendricks. and the Groucho Marx dribble. No pics today? I loved the play by play, thank you. All that was missing was joel marreiniss climbing the invisible ladder
Dirty but good?and the Groucho Marx dribble.
And tricky dribbling (is there any other kind, these days?) across the 10-second lineDirty but good?
I agree, I think we are saying that we appreciate it. I certainly do.Are you people crazy? The second best part of this thread behind only the cameras. Is the play by play. The fact that some one is providing commentary on the construction movements is pure gold!
Maybe some sort of OSHA thing? No more than x consecutive days or work?I don’t see any activity going on today. Kind of surprised. I would have thought they would be working all Saturdays by now, especially with another good day of weather forecast.
I think they’ve already proven that they do. I might be wrong.Maybe they don't work on game days.
Yes. Almost sure they worked last Saturday, for instance.I think they’ve already proven that they do. I might be wrong.
